Chapter 329: Great Skills, Low Prices

Olivia was amazed by what Jonathan had accomplished. With just a few skilled touches, he transformed a plain-looking actress into a stunning beauty, completely overshadowing all the other women in the show. When the drama aired, she quickly became an internet sensation, and her iconic look went viral, making her the new national sweetheart. However, her looks were nowhere near as striking as Mia's.

“How did I forget about him?” Olivia murmured, tapping her chin thoughtfully. Great skills and a low price! This was the makeup artist she’d been looking for!

Jonathan was currently engaged in an intense back-and-forth with Nicholas’s fans on Twitter, battling insults. His private messages were flooded with hateful comments, accusing him of being shameless and twisted. Amid the barrage of insults, one private message caught his eye. In the midst of the chaos, he noticed a message from someone named Olivia: “Hey, are you free to take on a job?”

Jonathan frowned. He wasn’t a well-known artist, and aside from doing some cosplay work, no one really reached out to him for makeup projects. He assumed this message must be from one of Nicholas’s fans trying to mock him under the guise of a client.

“If you’ve got something to say, say it! I don’t have time for your nonsense! If you want to insult me, go ahead; I’m ready to fire back!”

Olivia saw his response and raised an eyebrow. “Take it easy; I’m on your side. I know Nicholas stole your design during that makeup competition.”

Jonathan, about to launch into another rant, froze upon reading her message. He and Nicholas had been together during their school days, both studying makeup, with Nicholas being two years ahead of him. Jonathan had thought he found true love, even though Nicholas had been stealing his ideas, believing he was sacrificing for love. Nicholas’s award-winning design was actually Jonathan’s creation, though he had never told anyone about it.

“How do you know that?” Jonathan asked, clearly shocked.

Seeing the change in his response, Olivia quickly typed back, “What do you think about working on Legacy of the Dynasty?”

Jonathan became more intrigued as he read, eventually clicking on Olivia’s Twitter profile. To his surprise, he was stunned for a second.

“You’re joking, right? I’ve seen the character photos, and the makeup artist is far more skilled than I am. Why would you come to me?”

Olivia responded, “We need more help! Also, Nicholas has already joined Tears of Rivers. Don’t you want to show him up and let everyone know how he’s been stealing your work for years?”

Jonathan felt tempted. He had always thought about exposing Nicholas online but had no evidence of his creative contributions. If he spoke out now, no one would take him seriously.

“Are you really going to hire me?”

Olivia replied, “Not just you, but your whole team.”

Although Jonathan wasn’t famous, he had a group of fellow makeup artists who were passionate about their craft. They might not be as talented as Jonathan, but they were still skilled. His team was somewhat unique, and because of that, not many people in the industry were willing to work with them.

Jonathan paused before replying, “My team members, just like me, are all male and prefer men. Are you sure about this?”
