The stunning performance left everyone in awe. Now, the only question on everyone’s mind was: Who was the “mysterious guest”? But the person on stage didn’t give them much time to investigate. As soon as the performance ended, they quietly exited.

In addition to Sebastian, several other prominent figures from various fields had attended the event. Almost immediately after the performer left the stage, they flocked to St. Rona Academy’s Mr. Grayson.

“Mr. Grayson, was that a special guest performance? What a delightful surprise! Could you share who that maestro was?”

“Mr. Grayson, please convey my admiration. I’d love to meet the performer.”

“For our charity gala next month, do you think we could invite them to perform?”

Faced with such enthusiastic inquiries, Mr. Grayson was at a loss. A special guest? What special guest? He didn’t know anything about it! No one had informed him of this! He had always assumed that today’s performers were all students. Mr. Grayson himself was awed by the performance, but as for the identity of the person on stage, he was completely clueless.

Sitting in the row behind Mr. Grayson, Emma had similar thoughts. She couldn’t believe Olivia and Isabella could deliver such a performance. She figured Mr. Grayson must have replaced them with a special guest at the last minute. The thought of kicking Olivia and Isabella out of the performance department after the event brought a smile to Emma’s face.

Overwhelmed by the questions, Mr. Grayson turned to Sebastian for help. “Mr. Sebastian…” As a renowned music prodigy, Sebastian should know who the performer was, right? Instead, he was met with Sebastian’s silence.

Sebastian, though amazed by the performance, was certain the performer wasn’t Isabella. The idea that St. Rona Academy might have replaced Olivia and Isabella with someone else without notice greatly displeased him. He vividly remembered how much Olivia had cared about this piece.

“Mr. Grayson, I thought this performance series was meant to showcase your students. Placing the original performers last minute is highly disrespectful to the creators,” Sebastian said, his tone icy.

Sebastian’s sharp reprimand left Mr. Grayson stunned. No, he hadn’t! Stop accusing him! When had he ever switched performers? He didn’t know anything about this! It was all a misunderstanding!

The hall buzzed with conversations as students rushed in upon hearing the news. The once spacious venue was quickly packed with a sea of people. Everyone who arrived was eager to catch a glimpse of the music prodigy. Questions filled the air.

“Will the music prodigy perform again?”

“Is the music prodigy still here?”

The chatter drowned out everything else, leaving no one to notice that Lily, the next scheduled performer, had already stepped onto the stage. Lily sat at her piano, her years of experience doing little to ease her nerves. No one in the audience paid attention to her arrival. It was as if they didn’t even realize she was supposed to perform next. This kind of indifference was something Lily had never experienced before. No matter where she went, she had always been the center of attention.

She was forgotten by everyone. It wasn’t until the host announced Lily’s performance that a small portion of the audience shifted their attention. The rest, especially the distinguished guests, were still busy trying to uncover the previous performer’s identity. Among the students who turned their eyes to Lily, disappointment was evident.

“What? It’s Lily? I came to hear the music prodigy.”

“Lily’s good, but compared to the music prodigy, she’s miles behind.”

“She should just step aside and let the music prodigy perform another piece instead!”
