A suspicion inevitably formed in Daxton’s mind. Walden never expected Daxton’s call to be about this. In an annoyed tone, Walden shot back, “Are you bored? Do you think we, the Kenneth family, are fools? When we brought my granddaughter back, we of course did a DNA test!”

This left Daxton stunned. “You did a DNA test?”

Walden replied, “Of course! We did it three times after she came back. Is there anything else?”

“Get lost!” Walden hung up the phone irritably, knowing all too well that these old men never called without causing trouble.
