Chapter 378: The Truth

The count at the third finger breaking echoed in the dark room. The bone-crunching noise sent a shiver down Bellamy’s spine. He couldn’t fathom how Olivia could remain so composed during this ordeal. The pampered man had never suffered such torment. His body writhed in agony. Blood oozed from the corners of his mouth, staining the bandages. He knelt on the ground in a pitiful state, watching as Olivia prepared to break another of his fingers. The man was utterly terrified. He had never imagined such a horrifying young woman existed in the world. At this moment, death seemed only a step away. His instinct to survive made him extend his unharmed hand, desperately begging Olivia for mercy.

Olivia seemed not to see it, grabbing his finger and twisting forcefully.

“Snap!”

“Ah!” The unbearable pain caused the man to roll on the ground, his eyes rolling back as he clutched his shattered hand.

“Olivia, he should be ready to confess now…” Bellamy, who had witnessed everything, cautiously reminded her.

Olivia wiped the blood off her hands.

“Hmm? Then why isn’t he speaking?”

Bellamy went quiet. Because you’ve gagged him with a stick!

Realizing the crux of the issue, the man, ignoring the pain from his broken fingers, frantically tore off the bandages and spat out the blood-soaked stick.

He was terrified. He was almost certain that if he didn’t speak now, he wouldn’t leave this room alive today.

“Let’s hear it then,” Olivia said, somewhat disappointed.

The man hastily explained, “It’s… it’s the chairman of Starlit Entertainment, Liliana. She told me to find someone to ruin your face! It was all her idea!”

The man knelt on the ground, revealing everything he knew.

“Starlit Entertainment, Liliana?” Olivia frowned slightly upon hearing the truth. She had only seen Liliana’s name in the news. In both her past and present lives, she had no interaction with her.

Because I turned down their contract offer, the chairman of Starlit Entertainment wanted to disfigure me. They barraged me like this. Olivia thought that only a fool or a madman could believe such a thing.

Why does she want to ruin my face? Olivia looked at the middle-aged man.

He shook his head. “I don’t know, I was just following orders. I really don’t know the reason, and I was too scared to ask…”

Olivia narrowed her eyes; something about Liliana’s involvement seemed off.

“Olivia, do you want me to handle this Liliana for you?” Bellamy quickly offered, eager to please.

Olivia smiled faintly.

“No need, I’ll handle it myself.”

After all, they’d spent so much money trying to ruin her face. If she could tolerate that, she’d really be living in vain.

With that, Olivia walked out of the dark room.

Just as she stepped out, Felix was speaking with two tall men. Spotting Olivia, he pointed her out.

“There, the Olivia you’re looking for is right over there.”
