Chapter 398: Alexander Is Too Scary

On the set of “Legacy of the Dynasty,” Alexander sat near the filming area, exuding a frigid aura. His temporary assistant stood nearby, trembling. Though he didn’t understand why the head of the Wilson family was dabbling in acting, the assistant knew one thing for sure: his life depended on staying out of trouble.

The day’s shoot was progressing smoothly. Alexander, under the pseudonym “Eugene,” had just completed a stunning debut scene. Despite the blazing sun, the assistant could still feel the waves of icy hostility emanating from Alexander.

Today’s scene featured Olivia and Benjamin in a dramatic partnership. Alexander watched Olivia, in her soldier’s uniform, galloping side-by-side with Benjamin as they chased down the enemy. Irritating. Insufferably irritating.

“When is my next scene?” Alexander asked suddenly.

The assistant frantically flipped through the schedule. “It looks like… in three days…”

The temperature around Alexander seemed to plummet further. Boss is terrifying! I want to quit! The assistant couldn’t fathom how Henry had endured working under Alexander for so long.

Alexander, his chin resting on one hand, tapped his fingers on his knee in annoyance. Watching Olivia smile at Benjamin during their scene made him fall into deep thoughts. This Benjamin character should be written off sooner rather than later.

When the scene wrapped, Olivia dismounted her horse with ease, giving her steed an affectionate pat. Her forehead glistened with sweat, sparkling in the sunlight.

“Not bad. I thought you’d have trouble keeping up,” Olivia said to Benjamin.

Their chase scene had been intense, and Olivia, used to riding wild horses, had accidentally pushed the pace too hard. Benjamin removed his helmet, his handsome face glistening with sweat. He smiled shyly at her compliment.

“I used to practice horseback riding,” he replied.

Olivia nodded, but Benjamin’s ears turned red as he glanced at her, his blush deepening to the point of glowing. Olivia raised an eyebrow. What’s gotten into him? Why is he acting so bashful all of a sudden?

Not far away, Lucas and Mia were observing the interaction.

“Do you think Benjamin has feelings for Olivia?” Mia asked Lucas.

Lucas nodded. “You’re just noticing now?”

Mia propped her chin on her hand. “It’s strange. Back at the academy, Benjamin always treated Olivia exceptionally well, almost indulgently so. It was so out of character for him that I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t seen it myself.” She glanced at Olivia, who was chatting with Benjamin, seemingly oblivious to his feelings.

“But… it seems like Olivia hasn’t picked up on Benjamin’s affection at all.”

Lucas looked shocked. “No way. Benjamin’s feelings are so obvious. Why else would Olivia invite him to cameo in her movie?”

Mia gave Lucas a skeptical look. “Are you sure Olivia didn’t invite him because he works for free?”

Lucas went quiet.
