Rebirth of a Flopped Actress: Career First, Love Second
Chapter 400: Oliviaโs Inside
After the call, Alexander waited for his additional scenes to be confirmed. It didnโt take long before Olivia approached him with the revised script in hand.
โAlexander?โ she called out, smiling.
Alexander straightened his posture, feigning nonchalance despite the flicker of anticipation in his eyes.
โYes?โ
Olivia plopped down beside him, script in hand.
โI just got off the phone with your boss. He said youโd like more scenes, so Iโve decided to add some for you,โ she said cheerfully.
Alexanderโs expression remained neutral, though he was inwardly pleased.
โIโve tailored these new scenes to your strengths,โ Olivia said, winking mischievously. โTheyโre all bed scenes!โ
Alexander felt his pulse quicken.
Olivia handed him the revised script. โHave a look. If thereโs anything that seems difficult, let me know.โ
Before Alexander could react, a crew member from Red Jackals ran over, explaining that the props warehouse had caught fire due to a water leak that damaged the explosives.
Hearing about the potential loss of her effects, Olivia immediately rushed to the warehouse, leaving Alexander to flip through his tailored script. The script read, โMale Lead, Severely injured, bedridden for the remainder of the scenes.โ
Alexander froze. True bed scenes?
Nearby, his assistant noticed Alexanderโs expression darken and began to quietly inch away. Just then, a commotion erupted among the crew.
โWhatโs going on over there? Why is there smoke?โ someone exclaimed, pointing toward a distant building.
Alexander turned to see thick black smoke rising into the sky, accompanied by the sharp smell of burning. The raging flames, like a massive fiery serpent, surrounded the entire warehouse, while the rolling heatwaves swept through the entire film crew.
โItโs over! The fire is at the props storage warehouse! The huge batch of gunpowder we purchased a few days ago is all in there!โ a staff member exclaimed in panic.
Everyone froze at those words. The warehouse storing gunpowder was on fire? This was practically a death sentence for all of us!
โCall 911 immediately!โ
โGet someone to put out the fire now!โ
In an instant, the entire crew descended into chaos. Alexanderโs brow furrowed as unease crept into his heart. Gunpowder? The warehouseโฆ Oliviaโs in there!
โBoss, itโs not safe here. We should leave!โ his assistant urged nervously.
But Alexander didnโt wait to hear the rest. Ignoring the chaos around him, he pushed through the panicked crowd, his tall frame moving with purpose as he sprinted toward the blazing warehouse.
