Chapter 104

Natalie whispered, "Valerie, this isn’t the first time I’ve told you about this. Why don’t you trust me?"

Valerie looked at her and said, "Because you have a history! Think about all the foolish things you’ve done over the years. I feel for you. Can’t you just take better care of yourself?"

Thinking about the foolish things she’d done in the past made Natalie really angry with herself. She softly murmured, “I won’t do it again.”

The two talked for quite a while until things were finally sorted out with Jennifer and Jasmine.

The clothes from this store are not cheap, but they have limited styles. Altogether, they cost nearly 1.5 million dollars.

Jennifer raised an eyebrow at Natalie, her smile full of pride. “Natalie, watch carefully, I just spent 1.5 million dollars in one go, and Easton didn’t even bat an eye. This is the kind of affection you’ll never experience in your lifetime." Jennifer cheerfully handed the card to the cashier.

She thought, "With such a huge expense, Natalie would probably go to confront Easton about it?"

She didn’t want to be the other woman, so she needed to have Easton get a divorce to be with her legitimately.

Jasmine excitedly grabbed Jennifer’s hand, “Jennifer, thank you for being so nice to me!” Earlier, she couldn’t stop thinking about what Natalie said.

Seeing Jennifer spend so freely, dropping 1.5 million dollars just like that, all her thoughts vanished. Some of these clothes she’d return later, keep a few to wear, and maybe she could get a few million back.

Jennifer patted her hand, smiling warmly. “Jasmine, you’re carrying Jason’s child, and he adores you. If I don’t buy them for you, he surely will."

“Unlike some people, who were kicked out and ended up on the streets, hanging out with shady guys just for money.” Jennifer’s words were meant for Natalie to hear.

Valerie suddenly looked up at her, “Jennifer, if you can’t speak nicely, just zip it. How dare you say that after taking someone’s place? Who’s actually involved with shady guys? Don’t you have any idea? Yet you dare to disturb the peace here…”

Jennifer stared coldly at Valerie and thought, ‘Does she know something since she said that?’ She said, “Natalie, you really attract friends just like you. Is your friend just as questionable as you are?"

“Well…is Zach really the ideal good man? If everyone knows that Ms. Simpson is close to the kidnapper Zach, would those women he wronged let you off easily?” Natalie said sarcastically.

Jennifer felt a lump in her throat and realized that Natalie was becoming more and more difficult to deal with.

She snorted, then saw the cashier approach Jennifer with a concerned look, “I’m sorry, miss, but there’s no money in this card. Could you please check if you picked the wrong one?”

Jennifer furrowed her brow, “No money? Could it be that your card reader is broken?”

She thought, ‘How can there be no money? Easton gave me this card, and it has no limit.’ The cashier said apologetically, “Miss, we checked, and this card has been deactivated.”

“That’s impossible!” Jennifer couldn’t believe it. She thought, ‘Why would Easton cancel my card?’

Valerie and Natalie stood up. Valerie rolled her eyes at Jennifer. "What’s going on? We waited around for nothing. Were you just messing with us? Jennifer, you’re a well–known socialite. If you don’t want to buy your friend some clothes, you can directly refuse. Why make such a scene?"

“Look at your friend’s face, she looks so pale, and she’s pregnant too. You really shouldn’t upset her." After Valerie finished speaking, she and Natalie left.

Jennifer couldn’t believe Easton would really cancel her card. She took out her phone to call Easton. Instead, she heard Easton’s phone ringing.

Startled, Jennifer spun around to see Easton’s tall figure standing nearby, fixing her with an intense gaze.

Natalie and Valerie, who were about to leave, also noticed Easton. Easton stood under the bright lights, giving off an impressive and unbeatable aura.

Natalie cast a casual glance at Easton and was ready to leave. But Easton blocked her way, his voice deep and smooth, “Natalie, giving Jennifer the card was my oversight; I didn’t consider your feelings. From now on, I’ll give you another card. Buy whatever you like.”

Natalie was amused by his words. She thought, ‘How can he have the nerve to say such a thing?’ She didn’t want his money and intended to get back what she was owed.

Natalie said, “No need, Mr. Garcia. As for the past, I spent 30 million dollars treating your eyes and legs. You should pay me back. After all you’re so wealthy, giving billions to your mistress. Why should I have treated you for free! I’ll send a list of the herb purchases to Xavier for him to check. I won’t overcharge you or take a penny from you.”

Easton said, “Natalie, do you really have to speak to me this way? I know I was wrong before, being too wrapped up in work. It won’t happen again…”

Natalie said, “What future do we have together? If you truly care about me, then get a divorce. For two years, Jennifer has been provoking me, and even though she’s abroad, the texts never stop.”

Jennifer yelled, "Natalie, you’re accusing me again, scheming against me in front of Easton. When have I ever sent you messages to provoke you?”

Jennifer thought, Would Natalie really be naive enough to show those text messages to Easton? With tears in her eyes, she looked at Easton and said, “Easton, I’ve never done anything like that. Natalie is always setting me up.”

Natalie retorted, “Since the day you left, you kept sending me provocative messages and photos of you two being affectionate. I showed them all to Easton. What, you have the nerve to do it but not admit it? Jennifer, why do I find you as disgusting as a pile of trash?”

Jennifer’s tears fell immediately and she cried, “Natalie, you country girl, your words are so crude. No wonder Easton doesn’t like you. You’ve been married to him for two years, yet you’re not even as good as the maid at home. At least the maid gets paid. You cook and clean for nothing. Easton just wants you to know your place. In his heart, you’re worth less than a servant.” Jennifer continued to interpret Easton’s feelings on her own.

Natalie knew Easton didn’t see her as important, but hearing it explained by Jennifer still broke her heart. She gently bit her lower lip.

Valerie knew that Natalie was still hurt by Jennifer’s words. With anger in her eyes, she glared at Easton, “Easton, you’re shameless, playing both sides and letting your mistress bully your own wife. You treat Natalie like a pawn and dare to think of hurting her again…”

“Valerie, stop talking, let’s go.” Natalie’s voice was so hoarse it was barely audible.

But Easton blocked Natalie again, lowering his gaze to her pained face.

He clenched his fists tightly and said, “Natalie, I’m sorry for what happened before. It was my mistake. I’ve canceled Jennifer’s card, and I won’t be involved with her anymore.” He kept it brief and clear in his explanation.

Natalie frowned and mocked him. “Would I, Natalie, a respectable woman, want a man who’s been with Jennifer?”
