Jason was furious and thought, "With Natalie back, our whole family is thrown into chaos. She is really despicable."
He angrily said, "Mom, just look at Natalie. Now even Zach is locked up because of her. She's messing with Easton again, and now she's stopped Jennifer's allowance. This woman is too evil!"
Wendy looked at her son's overbearing demeanor and sneered. "She's becoming more and more terrible. Jennifer, Easton cutting off your allowance is like taking your lifeline. Our family can’t afford hundreds of thousands in allowance, and the company’s situation is worsening. I’ve been working so hard to find partners, but without new products, we haven’t found any. If this continues, the Tompson family will go bankrupt. From this month on, everyone’s allowance will be halved."
Wendy hoped that Jennifer would be worried and ask Easton for help after hearing her words. These two, they had to be locked up, don’t harm her daughter.

Nick’s eyes flickered and he laughed, saying, "Honey, you know I often visit fancy places. How can that little money be enough? Just taking another CEO for a round of golf costs hundreds of thousands; they’re all pricey places, just money pits."
Of course, that money was going towards his outside plans, like starting a business for his son from another family. The four sons from this side were all useless, each being average and lacking business sense. It was impossible for him to stake his hopes on such a bunch of nobodies.
Wendy took a deep breath, "I’m going to the office to work overtime, please don’t cause any trouble lately. I can’t deal with you all right now. Jennifer, make something tasty tomorrow morning and take it to Easton. See if you can get closer to him. Yelling at Natalie won’t make a difference, she’s already cut ties with our family."
Jennifer furrowed her brows. She thought, "What’s going on here?" She felt like Wendy had changed. "Mom, I’ll visit Easton first thing in the morning. I’m determined to win his heart back! I won’t give up on Easton easily."
Wendy nodded, "Alright."
She wasn’t feeling well today, but she had to put on a performance for Nick and Jennifer. "Jason, I’ve been feeling under the weather lately, all weak and tired. I’m afraid it’s risky to drive. Can you take me there!"
Nick and Jennifer exchanged glances. Wendy didn’t miss the fleeting joy in their eyes.
Nick asked, "Honey, it’s so late, why do you still have to go back to work?"
Wendy sighed deeply, "Well, I don’t want to either, but my four sons are all doing their own things. No one is helping me manage the company. You have your company to run, and things aren’t going well at mine. I’ve sold several properties recently to keep the cash flow going."

After she finished speaking, Wendy left. Her voice was so gentle that it made Nick’s heart ache for her.

Nick was a bit reluctant, Wendy had treated him well all her life, but his son was more important.
