Octavian furrowed his brows and spoke in a cold tone, “So that’s how it is. No wonder she doesn’t like Jennifer. Jennifer, your parents are so kind, yet they adopted an ungrateful person. Don’t worry, with me around, she won’t bully you. Next time I see Natalie, I’ll teach her a lesson for you.”

Jennifer gently smiled and nodded, her innocent eyes full of admiration. “Octavian, thank you for supporting me. Let’s go. I don’t want my issues to ruin your good mood.”

She intentionally showed a soft and sweet smile, looking obedient and gentle. Octavian watched her, his heart pounding. She was so gentle.

“Okay!” His voice gradually became softer as well.

A glint of satisfaction flashed through Jennifer’s eyes. Octavian, the third son from the Knight family, was wealthy and powerful. If she could get him interested, she wouldn’t have to worry about future opportunities.

They went into the restaurant, still chatting and laughing.

Not far away, Xavier, who had come out to buy dinner for Easton, watched everything clearly.

He was shocked; this was the power of a total manipulator like Jennifer. Even Octavian, the movie star, was kind to her.

Jennifer was such a scheming bitch, and people couldn’t mess with her. Xavier had already realized Jennifer was plotting against him. Every time he helped Natalie, it fueled Jennifer’s anger.

Xavier brought dinner back to the hotel. Easton was really busy tonight, stuck in meetings in the hotel conference room.

Natalie and Tiana left the restaurant, and Tiana almost burst into tears. Her eyes were red, but she forced a smile and said, “Natalie, Jennifer is terrifying. How come no one can see through her devious tricks?”

Natalie smiled. “Her own charm casts a dreamy glow over other people’s eyes. Plus, her face is so endearing—pale, teary, the fragile look that awakens guys’ protective instincts.” Jennifer’s face was her trump card.

“But she’s just too much, too hateful. No wonder Vance almost died.” Tiana reflected, still feeling upset about what happened.

Jennifer’s move was the kind of move one’d see in those TV dramas—throwing herself down the stairs just to frame the heroine.

Tiana said, “Natalie, I remember the time Easton was most upset with you; it was when Jennifer rolled herself down the stairs to frame you! She must have watched too many TV dramas, copying the evil supporting characters from them!”

Natalie’s eyes filled with tears as she laughed and patted her friend’s shoulder. “Tiana, don’t be sad. Those things are in the past, and Easton and I were just not meant to be."

“Jennifer isn’t a threat to you as long as you’re away from me. She’s only targeting me.”

Jennifer had always wanted to drag her down, though it was unclear why she disliked her so much.

She thought, ‘Is it because of Easton? But I don’t really love him that much.‘

Tiana was worried for her. “Natalie, Jennifer’s tricks really work on Easton. Let’s steer clear of her in the future.”

Natalie knew she couldn’t avoid it, but to ease Tiana’s mind, she smiled and agreed, “Alright! If we can’t win, we can at least avoid a fight.”

Seeing her relaxed and sweet smile, Tiana felt relieved. “Come on, Natalie, let’s eat somewhere else. I’ll take you for some barbecue; it’s just as delicious.”

As long as they didn’t run into Jennifer, the meal would be quite enjoyable.

Tiana asked, “Natalie, I really want to ask Easton, since he’s the one who cheated, doesn’t he feel any guilt towards you?”

Natalie frowned and shook her head. “Should there be any guilt? Cheating is nothing but a devil’s way. All I can do is wish them eternal happiness. I’m quite a forgiving and gracious spouse.”

Natalie looked out at the sea, where a beautiful crescent moon was shining. She took a deep breath, trying hard to calm herself down. In this beautiful world, she was determined to live well.

Natalie’s smile was dazzling and enchanting, radiating unmatched elegance.

“Tiana, we’re only going to get better.” Natalie glanced sideways at Tiana.

In her eyes, Tiana saw a gleam of endless hope for the future, which seemed to light up her heart as well.

“Yes!” Tiana excitedly took her arm, and they walked toward the beach.

She took Natalie to the beach for a barbecue. The grilled oysters were especially delicious, and the teppanyaki squid was incredibly tender.

After eating, Natalie even packed some to take back for a late-night snack. Feeling inspired today, she planned to sketch some designs when she got back.

However, she had a habit in the evening; being alone might feel too lonely, so she always wanted to find something to eat.

The two walked back through a coconut grove, and the dim streetlights made it hard to see the path.

Tiana comforted Natalie, “Natalie, there are plenty of other fish in the sea. If Easton’s gone, you should never mind. You’ll find someone better in the future."

“Also, you really shouldn’t look for Easton anymore. You’re so beautiful; he’s totally out of your league.”

Natalie chuckled; deep down, she now felt a strong aversion towards Easton. “Easton’s true love is Jennifer. We all know how powerful the allure of first love can be.”

Tiana laughed. “I always feel like first loves end up turning into nothing. Easton’s so-called perfect match is no exception.” But right now, Natalie was all alone, with very little power. Dealing with Jennifer was difficult. She was talented; her words and actions might seem sweet and innocent, but for some reason, guys always fell for it.

However, not all guys fell for that act. One day, Jennifer would meet her match.

Natalie looked at her own frustrated little face in the mirror and stayed silent. She was just waiting for Jennifer to stir up trouble, hoping Easton would decide to divorce on his own.

Jennifer knew Easton didn’t want a divorce, so she was definitely going to try to push him into it. She just needed to wait patiently for Jennifer to make a move.

It was only a matter of time before Jennifer drugged Easton to get the media involved. She did the same thing in a past life. This time, as long as she skipped that party, Jennifer’s plan wouldn’t work out.

Tiana made a good point; there were millions of great guys out there. Easton wasn’t her only option.
