Natalie was amused by Nick’s boldness, but she gave him a cold look. “Nick, you’re delusional to think James would give his company to you. Have you looked in the mirror to see your worth? We have no relation, yet you dare to come here? Get out! I have no time for people I can’t stand. Don’t flaunt your worthless tricks before me; they won’t work.”

Nick was surprised by Natalie’s strong stance. His anger rose as he struggled to find words. “You insolent girl! You are my daughter. Do you think having a brother gives you the right to act so arrogantly?”

Nick was shocked that the usually submissive Natalie could speak so defiantly.

“Yes, I am this arrogant. Stay away from me and spare me your drama. After living off others for years, now you want rewards without effort? You have truly mastered the art of shamelessness,” Natalie shouted back, exasperated.

After facing many hardships, she had a second chance at life because she believed it was worth living. She lived for herself and wouldn't let these people control her.

Nick’s face turned pale with anger. “Natalie, without me, there would be no you. I am your dad! Your disobedience embarrasses me. You want to show loyalty to a brother not connected by blood? Think wisely; we are family!”

Natalie found him amusing; her heart no longer ached but instead wanted to laugh. With cold eyes, she said, “Mr. Simpson, you were the first to want to cut ties. Now that you’ve lost everything, you think of me, your discarded daughter. Your audacity is shocking.”

Vance, watching this, felt the truth in her words. If he hadn’t been dragged by Nick, he wouldn’t be here. He saw Nick as an embarrassment, a total fraud. It was Nick who had pushed Natalie aside, and now that she was doing well, Nick wanted to use her again.

“You are my daughter; I am without support now, and I need you…” Nick started.

Natalie interrupted, “You have four other sons. How can you say you’re without support? I heard you live with your mistress now. Your wife should stay unaware; if she knew, she might throw you out.”

“What? How do you know this?” Nick’s nervousness was clear.

Natalie rolled her eyes. “After your bankruptcy, you are living in a villa with your mistress while your wife is in an old house outside the city. You don’t deserve to be called my dad, let alone come to me.”

“I…” Natalie coldly cut him off. “I’m not done yet. At Colin’s party, you cheated and blamed me, saying I plotted against you. Did I force you to cheat? If it weren't for the footage that night, you would have ruined me.”

“Why do you keep clinging to that?”

“Have you all become one big happy family? I’ve always wondered why, after your divorce, Jennifer still hangs around. What is your real connection to her?”

Natalie’s icy gaze bore through Nick.

Nick, feeling guilty, looked away. “Anyway, my life is none of your business. I’m here for money.”

Natalie’s tone was hot. “When I left the Simpson family, I paid back every cent. How dare you come to me asking for money?”

Nick interjected, his eyes darting around. “Is that why you moved away and became who you are? You keep claiming to be a victim, but you're not. You're just as bad as me.”

Natalie made Nick look away, his face turning red. “Don’t you dare compare me to you. You knew what you were getting into. You got yourself into this mess and now you want to bring me down with you. I won’t let you.”

Natalie dripped with mockery, “Well, if that’s the case, and I can keep my money from you, and you can abandon your wife and kids, can’t I cut ties with my dad and family? I would prefer not to have your selfish bloodline.”

Natalie stood up, glaring at him. “Nick, from the moment our relationship ended on the day you cheated with Jennifer, there has been no dad-daughter relationship between us. So, you asking for money is impossible.”

Realizing he would gain nothing from her, Nick shouted angrily, “But I am your dad! I am destitute now, and you have a duty to care for me. You need to give me some money to formally sever our ties!”
