The message was from Jennifer. She said: [Natalie, was it you causing trouble tonight? Natalie, you witch, you won’t get away with this!]

Natalie was stunned, thinking, ‘Is Jennifer so used to slinging mud at me by now? I am just a bystander; how do I end up being the one accused of scheming?’ She called Jennifer out of anger.

“Natalie, do you dare to call me? Was tonight’s mess your doing?” Jennifer questioned angrily, her voice choked with emotion.

Natalie laughed and said, “Jennifer, you’re so used to accusing others that you don’t hesitate. You say I’m plotting against you, but isn’t what your mom did real? You leave traces of your affairs everywhere. Is that also fake?"

“Jennifer, why do you never admit to what you did? You always try to frame others and steal my life. You’ve been living quite well, but you messed up a perfectly good situation to give your mom a social status."

“Your mom won’t appreciate it because she, like you, is selfish. And your dad’s selfish, too. The three of you together make a perfect team of selfish people."

“You kicked me out, which is a real success for you. You and Easton can easily get married. Those four fools will pamper you endlessly, and Wendy will give you everything. But you ruin everything yourself."

“Throwing dirt at me is just routine for you. When things go wrong, you come running. Jennifer, is this all you’re capable of?"

“Marrying Easton is an accomplishment. I’ve already moved on from Easton, so this is the perfect time for you. You better give it your best shot because if you can’t capture his heart, everything you did to me was pointless.”

Actually, as long as Jennifer played by the rules, even if she left the Simpson family, she’d remain the cherished little princess.

But she wasn’t satisfied; she wanted to take everything from Wendy and live a dream life with her real family.

Jennifer understood everything Natalie was talking about. But she expected Wendy to end up in a mental institution, just like Charlotte. Charlotte disagreed with her being with Easton, so she had Charlotte sent to a mental hospital.

Jennifer replied, “Natalie, don’t be so smug. I’m not jumping into the fire willingly. I’ll make sure you wish you were never born.”

Natalie lazily rolled around in bed before saying, “I’ve already left; I’ve made way for you. Yet you’re still thinking of making my life a misery. Jennifer, do you think I’m that easy to bully?”

Jennifer snarled viciously, “As long as I marry Easton, I’ll ensure you’re gone for good.”

Natalie said, “Fine! Go ahead and take Easton away. May you two grow old together and have lots of kids. You always like picking up what I don’t want, so take it all if that’s what you like.”

Jennifer was stunned. It seemed like everything she had before was what Natalie didn’t want. Natalie had given up on the Simpson family and Easton, yet Jennifer wanted them.

Jennifer replied, “That’s not how it is, Natalie. I want you to live a miserable life. You wait.”

Natalie said, “What nonsense are you saying? Jennifer, the entertainment industry isn’t your path anymore. You should focus on winning Easton’s heart so you two can be happy together forever.” Then, she hung up the phone.

She murmured, “You little punk, do you really think I can’t handle you? Now it’s Easton’s turn to be taken advantage of.”

Her phone vibrated again. When she picked it up, she found it was Valerie calling. She asked, “Valerie, are you coming back tomorrow?”

Valerie chuckled and said, “Natalie, I’ve just taken on a big project, so I’ll have to delay my return by a week.”

Natalie’s excitement faded instantly. She thought, ‘Why delay again? Is she short of money?‘

Thinking about how Valerie’s dad preferred his adopted daughter made Natalie’s heart ache. She said, “Valerie, if you need money, just tell me.”

Valerie laughed and said, “Natalie, I don’t need money. Don’t be upset. I’ll bring you a gift when I get back. By the way, I just saw the news. Is Jennifer Nick’s real daughter? That’s some shocking news.”

Natalie was a bit surprised. She said, “Seems like this made a big splash if you heard about it even overseas.”

Valerie said, “Natalie, I’m reading the news from back home, so I can still access it. Are you okay?”

Natalie replied, “I’m fine, but Jennifer just called me and accused me of setting her up tonight. That brat keeps saying she’s being targeted.

“It’s ridiculous how Easton’s gang treats her like she’s special. Her shamelessness is unbelievable, but why should I have to put up with her? Jennifer’s at her wits’ end now. Next up, it’s Easton’s turn to deal with it.”

Valerie chuckled and said, “Hasn’t he always been Jennifer’s fool?”

Natalie replied, “Yeah, Easton’s always been Jennifer’s fool. But I think he’s more of a fool now. Jennifer’s not completely out of options yet, but she’s holding on to Easton for dear life.

“If they end up having a kid together, then I can finally get this divorce over with. After the divorce, I’m definitely gonna hire a few male models for myself.”

Natalie laughed loudly while Easton, listening at the door, looked increasingly upset.

Valerie, on the other end, sighed and said, “You’re always talking about male models, yet you’re still single as ever. How do you even dare to talk about male models?”

Natalie’s face turned red. She retorted, “Sure, I like handsome guys, but I have my boundaries. My best moment is reserved for the man I truly love.

“One day, when I find a guy who loves me as much as I love him, I’ll give all of myself to him.” Talking about it made Natalie sad; Easton was the only person she truly loved.

She had genuinely been in love. When Jennifer sent her videos and photos, she just gave them a quick glance before putting her phone down. Her heart hurt too much to really look.

Valerie remarked, “Natalie, you’re probably the only woman who still thinks that way. Look at the women around you; who’s not having fun before getting married?”

Natalie replied, “Valerie, I really can’t stand Easton, Jennifer, and the Simpson family. Once I handle things here, I want to go abroad to find James.”

Valerie said, “Sounds good. You haven’t taken a break in years; maybe it’s time to consider it.”

Natalie replied, “I’m fine, don’t worry about me. Just take care of yourself.”

Valerie said, “Sure, get some sleep early.”

Natalie hung up the phone with a smile. As she happily lay down, a shadow appeared, startling her. She screamed in shock and shouted angrily, “How did you get in here?”
