Wesley said, “Robert is back and has set up a gathering for tonight. He has been overseas managing your business for you, and even I’ve been helping you these past few years. You must join us.”

Easton nodded slightly and said, “Understood. Send me the address, and I’ll be there tonight.”

Noticing that Easton wasn’t in a good mood, Wesley didn’t disturb him because he had his own company matters to take care of.

He laughed and said, “Easton, don’t think too much. If you love Jennifer, just marry her. If Natalie doesn’t want a divorce, you can use some strategies. Watching you all in this love triangle is quite hard for everyone.”

Xavier was stunned. He asked, “Mr. Hunter, what kind of method are you planning to use to push Natalie away?”

Easton gave Wesley a cold look.

Wesley said, “That’s simple–put her in bed with another man, take a few pictures, and she’ll be forced to get a divorce. Some women need a harsh lesson before they learn.”

Xavier was stunned. His values were completely shattered. He remarked inside, ‘Both Mr. Hunter and Mr. Garcia are total jerks.’ He said, “Mr. Hunter, doing this will ruin Natalie’s life forever.”

Wesley glanced at Xavier and said, “Xavier, what’s up with you today? Why are you defending Natalie?”

Xavier replied, “Because it’s Mr. Garcia who doesn’t want the divorce, not Natalie. Mr. Hunter, you have money and power, but that doesn’t have the right to trample on people’s dignity. You think you’re untouchable just because you have some money. Ruining a woman’s life by involving another man is outrageous.

“Wesley, mark my words–someday you’ll face the consequences with women because such actions are outrageously vile.” Xavier finished speaking and then walked away.

Wesley was angry. He glared at Easton and asked, “Easton, did your assistant mess up, or what? Why is he snapping at me?

“Didn’t you say before that Natalie kept pestering you non–stop? It’s been over a year since you two separated; why haven’t you finalized the divorce?

“Sure, Jennifer made some mistakes, but she’s the girl you watched grow up, the one you said you’d marry someday. Even when you’re drunk, you call out her name. Can you just let her go like that?”

Easton frowned at Wesley. He said, “Are you off your rocker? Last time we met, you said I was being too much, and now you’re scheming against Natalie?”

Wesley smirked mischievously. Trying to provoke Easton, he said, “I’m just trying to help you and Jennifer. Seeing you two all dramatic is quite tiring, you know.”

Easton’s anger was boiling over. He growled, “I’m the one not willing to divorce. Wesley, don’t mess with Natalie, or we won’t even be friends anymore.”

Wesley said, “Interesting. When I insulted Natalie, I don’t remember you defending her. She’s just a woman, even though she’s taken great care of you for two years.

“Nowadays, women will do that for money. With the right price, they’d care for you better than Natalie ever could.”

Wesley, a wealthy heir, couldn’t help but feel sorry for Natalie, yet he didn’t think highly of her. In his view, a woman needed to stand out to earn respect. Natalie’s way of putting Easton on a pedestal annoyed him.

Easton furrowed his brows. He glanced at Wesley but stayed silent.

Wesley continued, “Natalie’s just a girl from an impoverished town, not the ideal match for your business plans. Consider how much you’ve invested in Jennifer over the years. She’s the one who truly aligns with your goals.”

Easton gave a cold laugh. He was puzzled by Wesley’s sudden change. He remarked, “If you like Jennifer so much, why don’t you marry her?”

Wesley was taken aback. He shook his head as he replied, “No, I don’t like her. I heard she’s been hanging out with Octavian. I prefer girls with a cleaner reputation.”

Easton realized that Wesley was purely mocking him. Frustrated, he said coldly, “If you have no business here, you can leave.”

“You’re so cold,” Wesley quipped as he effortlessly walked away. As he reached the door, he encountered Jennifer.

“Hey, Wesley! I am happy to see you here,” Jennifer called out with a smile.

Wesley noticed Jennifer’s pale face; he had heard about the Wayne family’s party last night. He thought, ‘Jennifer is Nick’s own daughter. But Nick sent Natalie away for Jennifer’s sake. That means Jennifer is an illegitimate child. The Simpson family is such a mess.’

“Jennifer, are you Nick’s biological daughter?” Wesley asked quite rudely.

Jennifer paused in shock and said quietly, “Wesley, I’m not sure. I only found out about this yesterday. Now that my parents have their marriage certificate, we’re officially a family.” She was eager to prove that she wasn’t an illegitimate child.

Wesley smiled without saying anything. He remarked inside, ‘Easton doesn’t have much of an eye for women.’

It wasn’t until the very end that Wesley realized that Easton had always had better judgment than he did. And he regretted it for the rest of his life!

Wesley said, “Alright, I’m heading out now. You guys keep chatting.”

After Wesley left, Jennifer finally went inside.

Easton knew Jennifer was upset last night, yet he never stayed with her. In the past, if Jennifer faced something like this, Easton would always be by her side.

Even though he wasn’t good at cheering girls up, just being there with her made Jennifer happy.

Before going in, Jennifer sent Natalie a message. She also found a photo and sent it to Natalie.

She said: [Natalie, Easton was with me all last night. We’ve been together for so long. Why don’t you have any shame and keep hovering around Easton? Can’t you just stay away?]

After sending the message, Jennifer walked over to Easton, who was sitting on the couch.

She asked, “Easton, why didn’t you come over last night to keep me company?” She sat next to Easton, looking at his sternly handsome face with a faint hint of fear in her eyes.

Easton’s gaze was intense. He said, “Jennifer, last night’s incident is known by everyone. My 30 million is gone. Do you really think your movie can still be released?”

Jennifer looked completely wronged. She said, “Easton, I came today just to discuss this. I suspect that Natalie set me up last night.”

A flash of anger passed through Easton’s eyes. He thought, ‘She used to set up Natalie like this, and I also believed it.’

His gaze turned even colder as he said, “But yesterday, she spent the whole day with me, and I took her to the party. How could she have set you up without me knowing?”

Easton felt completely powerless, realizing how much he had misunderstood Natalie before. He trusted Jennifer too much, believing whatever she said.

He was always so busy that he never thought too deeply. His oversight made Natalie disappointed and give up on him. The air around Easton grew heavier, and his gaze became icier.

But Jennifer, at this moment, only focused on blaming Natalie and didn’t notice Easton’s terrifying expression.

She was stunned by Easton’s words. She thought, ‘I have done so much before, why should Natalie get all the benefits?’ She asked in surprise, “Easton, did you two go together?”

Easton’s tone grew even colder as he said, “That’s right, she was my date last night. Maris didn’t invite her, and you say she schemed against you? How did she manage that?”
