Chapter 60
Eastonโs eyes flickered with a trace of killing intent as he wondered if heโd once again misjudged Natalie. He quickly turned to look at her; her face was calm, her beautiful eyes revealing no emotion. Eastonโs mind was in turmoil, afraid he had wronged Natalie again. Meanwhile, Murray instantly understoodโJennifer was trying to frame Natalie again.
โWell, Jennifer, knowing I was coming after you, you brought in two people to act for you, hoping Iโd catch them and set Natalie up. How can you be this evil?โ Murray narrowed his eyes at Jennifer.
Jennifer was petrified, cursing those two useless idiots under her breath. She cried as she tried to explain, โMr. Spencer, itโs not like that! Listen to me, they were the ones who pointed at Natalie. I had nothing to do with it.โ
Valerie sneered. โPointed? When you bought them off, you shouldโve shown them Natalieโs photo. That way, they wouldnโt have mistaken me for her, and you wouldnโt have left any traces.โ
Jennifer frowned, looking at Valerie, unsure who she was, but noting she was as beautiful as Wendy. Jennifer had plotted against Natalie out of jealousy for her beauty, hoping to destroy her.
โWho are you? This is my house. Do you think you have a right to speak here?โ Jennifer sneered.
Valerie sneered, her striking beauty radiating confidence. She laughed, her eyes gleaming as she looked at Jennifer. โIโm the one they call Natalieโthe one behind these โaccidents.โ Are you saying I have no right to speak?โ
Jennifer glared at her fiercely.
After speaking, Valerie discreetly cast a truth spell on one of the two men, and no one noticed.
Just then, Murray swaggered over, kicking one of the men down. โTalk. Who told you to target my bodyguard? Speak up, or Iโll break your legs.โ
The man trembled, then pointed at Jennifer. โIt wasโฆ it was her, Jennifer. She paid us 300 thousand dollars. She told us to claim Natalie ordered it if you came after us. We just did it for the money, please, let me go!โ
The man, unable to control himself, confessed everything.
Jennifer was stunned, staring at him blankly. She didnโt expect the man to be so bold.
Just then, Natalie, who had been silent, walked forward and played a video, linking it to the Simpson familyโs digital TV. Instantly, the screen showed three figures: Jennifer and the two men standing in front of them.
โHereโs 300 thousand dollars for you two, and hereโs what youโre going to doโMurray has been investigating the matter with his bodyguard. If he finds you, tell him that Natalie planned everything,โ Jennifer said in the video.
โThat way, weโll clear our names, and we can overturn that nightโs testimony. I want that hag to say with her own mouth that I was the one who saved her,โ she sneered.
โWhat?โ Jenniferโs face turned ashen. She thought, โHow could this happen? How did Natalie get that video?โ
โNo, it wasnโt me, Natalie! Youโre framing me! Why are you framing me? Who made that video for you? It looks so real. Are you trying to kill me?โ Jennifer immediately redirected her accusation toward Natalie, crying with desperation.
Natalie watched her distorted face in disgust and quickly stepped back. Easton instinctively took a step back as well.
Realizing her outburst, Jennifer abruptly stopped, glaring viciously at Natalie.
Nick stood up furiously. โNatalie, when will you stop this? Jennifer is your sisterโฆโ
โSister? Nick, I would never dare call such a vile woman my sister,โ Natalie laughed, cutting him off.
โYou and your daughter are partners in crime. When Jennifer does something wrong, youโre the first to come forward and pin the blame on me. Itโs happened countless times,โ she said.
โAt the last party, I told youโI wonโt let you bully me anymore. Every time you try, Iโll strike back just as hard,โ she added.
Nick was left speechless, realizing that Natalie had truly changed.
He stammered, โNatalie, what are you talking about? Where did you get that video? Why frame Jennifer like this?โ
โFine,โ Natalie replied with a calm gaze sweeping over Jennifer. โIf you say Iโm framing her, letโs hand all the evidence over to the police. Iโm sure her call records with these two men will be quite revealing.โ
Jennifer, terrified, collapsed to the ground. She couldnโt go to jail. With a criminal record, the Garcia family would never accept her. She was also Nickโs daughter and wanted to marry Easton as the daughter of the Simpson family. She refused to be merely a hidden illegitimate child or adopted daughter.
โNo, Natalie, why are you framing me? What did I ever do to you? You took Easton from me, and you took my parents! Why are you so heartless? I just wanted someone to care about me,โ Jennifer cried, her voice breaking.
Unable to stand seeing Jennifer suffer, Easton helped her to her feet. He looked at Natalie and asked, โNatalie, Iโm asking you one last timeโare you framing Jennifer?โ
Natalie looked at Easton as if he were a fool. She wanted to curse him with every venomous word she knew.
โDamn it, how did I end up married to this idiot for two years?โ Natalie felt tears of frustration welling up.
Easton fell silent, while Murray couldnโt help but let out a chuckle of exasperation.
โNatalie, youโre truly unlucky, married to a simp for Jennifer, who doesnโt even trust you when the evidence is right in front of him. Just how much have you suffered?โ Murray smirked as he looked at Easton.
Eastonโs face darkened.
Natalie took a deep breath to suppress her anger. Surprisingly, she didnโt feel heartache, only pure rage.
โMurray, donโt go too far,โ Easton said, his gaze coldly fixed on him.
โToo far?โ Murrayโs eyes reddened. โYou stood by and watched your childhood sweetheart hurt my bodyguard and my grandmother, and youโre calling me too far?โ
Murray held up a flash drive. โI have more evidence right here. Once sheโs in jail, she wonโt get out. Are you sure you want to keep protecting her?โ
Murray smirked, glancing at Natalie, who remained unfazed.
Natalie looked at the flash drive in his hand, feeling a bit exasperated. It was the very evidence sheโd sent him, though now wasnโt the time to use it.
Leaning into Eastonโs arms, Jennifer cried bitterly. โEaston, it wasnโt me. Natalie is framing me.โ
Natalie sneered. โMr. Spencer, didnโt you call the police? Where are they? Have them come and investigate this thoroughly.โ
โIf these people canโt see the truth, then let the entire world weigh in on the matter,โ she said coldly.
