Chapter 95
Natalie and two others stayed on the island for three days before going back. After taking another day off, she finally returned to work. During the days spent on the island, she made many design sketches. Today, she went to the company to look at fabric samples. Early in the morning, she had asked Luna to prepare them. After checking them, they planned to go to the spa. After getting a tan at the beach, she set up a spa day with Valerie. As she stepped out of her car beneath the company building, her elegant figure appeared fresh and unique in the morning light. โNatalie!โ Natalie heard the familiar voice, making her want to hit someone in the morning.
She turned to see Jason, who was wearing a baseball jacket and a cap, with his gaze cold as he looked at her. โMr. Simpson, do you need something?โ Natalieโs tone was indifferent. โWhat did you do to upset Jennifer? Sheโs been feeling down these days. Come back with me and apologize to her,โ Jason said. Natalie interrupted him angrily. โSheโs been feeling down, but why are you bothering me about it?โ โYou need to apologize to her. Itโs because you took Easton from her that sheโs unhappy,โ Jason insisted firmly. Natalie rubbed her forehead and took a deep breath, wondering how she could know such a fool. This morning was just too much. โGet lost!โ Natalie shouted in frustration. Jason was stunned, unbelieving what he heard. โNatalie, did you just tell me to get lost? Youโre just a middle school graduate working as a design director because you charmed Mr. Walsh with your looks. Why are you still holding on to Easton after doing something so disgusting?โ Jasonโs eyes were sharp as he looked at Natalie with disdain. Natalie chuckled in exasperation. โIf you want to talk about divorce, go find Easton. Heโs the one refusing to go with me to file the divorce papers. Plus, you think Carl is like you?โ Jason didnโt understand what she meant. โNatalie, what do you mean by that?โ he asked. Natalie answered, โItโs simple. Even though Carl is young, heโs incredibly talented and a rising star. His achievements over the past few years couldnโt have been accomplished just by flirting with women.โ โBesides, all you see is Jennifer. You never cared to understand who I really am. If Iโm doing well, itโs because Iโm hooking up with men; and if Iโm capable, itโs because Iโm scheming and ruthless, right?โ asked Natalie. โWhat do you mean by disgusting, Jason? Youโre actually the most disgusting one. Not only are you dumb, but youโre also a jerk,โ said Natalie. โThink about what happened half a year ago. Who was really plotting against you?โ said Natalie.
Jason, enjoy your arrogant days while they last. In two weeks, the competition will come, and youโll face utter ruin. Once you find out the truth, who knows if youโll be furious enough to die,โ she thought to herself. Natalie finished speaking and ignored the fool, Jason. Jason was speechless. She still dared to mention what happened six months ago. Looking at the current situation of the company, he was determined to seek revenge for the last time. He was determined to make Natalie experience what it was like to be betrayed by the ones closest to her. He loved Jasmine deeply, but that woman took advantage of him. Jason pulled out his phone to make a call. โHey, Jason.โ The voice on the other end was slick and smooth. Jason sneered. โTonight, do me a favor and teach someone a lesson. Itโs Natalie. Iโll text you her companyโs address. Itโs just a warning, and there is no need to go too far.โ โGreat!โ The person on the other end agreed cheerfully. After that call, Jason called Jennifer. โHey, brother,โ Jennifer responded weakly. Listening to her made Jason feel a deep ache in his heart. He said, โJennifer, Natalie isnโt coming back to apologize, but Iโve got someone to teach her a lesson and make her lose her job so sheโll have to admire you in the future.โ
Jason thought about what happened six months ago, with his face etched with anger. โBrother, donโt do this. Itโs okay if Natalie doesnโt apologize. I know youโve been down lately as youโve got a competition coming up. Donโt do anything illegal,โ Jennifer urged him nervously. Jason chuckled. โJennifer, youโre always the best to me. Donโt worry. I wonโt do anything against the law. She set me up six months ago and hurt Jasmine. I canโt let that go.โ โBig brother, thank you for being so good to meโฆโ Jennifer cried and was moved. Jason comforted her for some time before ending the call. He stared at the entrance of Natalieโs company, and murmured, โNatalie, I donโt want to do this to you, but youโve gone too far.โ She was his biological sister. As long as she went back to apologize to Jennifer, he wouldnโt treat her this way. Without much thought, Jason headed to the racing team. Jennifer was at home practicing piano for the competition. She was determined to win first place. After practicing for a while, she received a call from Jason. He had found someone to teach Natalie a lesson. That was perfect. Setting Natalie up six months ago was all to make Jason entirely hate her. Now, he finally had the nerve to make a move against Natalie. Once Wendy was out of the picture, she could secretly acquire shares of the Tompson family. Jennifer sent a message and continued practicing, waiting for good news about Natalie. โNatalie, you want to mess with me? Youโre digging your own grave!โ she thought. Easton hadnโt looked for her after he left that night. This meant Easton no longer trusted her. She was incredibly angry. After scheming for so long, Natalie still managed to escape unscathed. Now, Easton didnโt trust herself anymore. It seemed she had to think of another way. If Charlotte wouldnโt work, then how about his most respected grandmother? Jenniferโs smile was viciously sinister.
Natalie had no knowledge of this matter. In her previous life, she met Jason only before the competition. In this life, many things had happened earlier than expected. At 4 PM, after she finished her work, she took Luna to a beauty parlor in a back alley for a facial. It was nearby, so they walked there. While walking, Natalie chatted with Luna about company affairs. She had already chosen all the fabrics she needed. The most important thing now was to ensure the design blueprint wouldnโt be leaked. She personally entrusted this task to Carl. As they reached the depths of the alley, suddenly, five men appeared from another alley, blocking their way. Lunaโs face was full of murderous intent, while Natalieโs eyes were sharp and cold. The man leading the group was young, and Natalie knew who he was. He was one of Jasonโs hired thugs. As she didnโt go back and apologize to Jennifer, Jason would send someone to deal with her. โNatalie, right?โ The man asked with a smirk, with his sinister eyes scanning Natalie from head to toe. Natalie couldnโt stand his gaze. She knew him because he worked for Jason and was secretly in league with Jennifer. He was also the man who would one day crash into her car, aiming to kill her. In other words, this guy was Jenniferโs No. 1 fanboy. Because he knew Jason, he had a strong liking for Jennifer. She answered calmly, โThatโs me.โ He said, โOh! Someone paid us to take care of you. Are you going to come with us willingly, or do we need to force you?โ Natalieโs eyes flickered. โDid Jason send you?โ The five men were taken aback. How did she know? Natalie glanced at Luna and whispered in a voice only they could hear, โPretend to get caught. I want to send them to prison.โ Luna immediately understood what Natalie meant. She pressed a button on the side of her phone. Carl quickly received the message. The man stepped forward to grab Natalie, but she faked fear, quickly stepped back, and shouted, โStay back, stay away. Donโt touch me!โ
