Chapter 352: Being Romantic

Janessa chuckled. โ€œKieran, donโ€™t you think youโ€™re overestimating Eunice? With her stupidity, she wonโ€™t think twice about it. Besides, every woman tends to lose her rationality when it comes to love. You just need to play with her emotions a bit, then sheโ€™ll say yes.โ€

โ€œRight, I also believe you can do it,โ€ Hayden affirmed with a nod.

Kieran couldnโ€™t be bothered to argue further since they both agreed. He nodded. โ€œOkay. Weโ€™ll do as you suggest.โ€

Two hours later, at a renowned hotel, Kieran relayed Haydenโ€™s words to Eunice as instructed. Eunice seemed troubled. โ€œHalf the shares? Thatโ€™s not a small amount. Maybe I should go back and discuss it with my mom.โ€

Sensing Euniceโ€™s wariness, he asked sweetly, โ€œI thought you love me, darling.โ€

Eunice nodded. โ€œI am indeed hopelessly in love with this man.โ€

โ€œDonโ€™t you want to marry me in the future?โ€ Kieran coaxed.

Eunice immediately nodded. โ€œOf course, I want to marry you.โ€

Kieran smiled, kissing her face. โ€œThen whatโ€™s the issue? Since weโ€™re going to get married, whatโ€™s yours will be mine.โ€

โ€œYouโ€™re right,โ€ Eunice nodded, finding sense in his words.

Seeing his success near, he smiled magnanimously. โ€œHowever, this is a big matter. I agree you should discuss it thoroughly with your mom before answering. Thereโ€™s no rush.โ€

Eunice fell into his trap upon hearing โ€œour mom,โ€ losing her judgment. She nodded. โ€œAll right. Iโ€™ll go home and discuss this with Mom.โ€

At that time, in an upscale condominium, Regina vented her anger on the housekeeper, ruthlessly berating her. The housekeeper felt wronged, having done nothing wrong. In reality, Regina simply sought someone to vent her frustrations on. The condominium, while upscale, paled in comparison to her former luxurious mansion. She missed the luxurious mink ensembles she used to wear daily. All those luxuries were gone. The tiny apartment filled her with irritation, especially when she considered her abandonment. This frustration often led her to vent her anger on the housekeeper.

Just then, Eunice returned. As soon as she walked in, she excitedly called out, โ€œMom, Iโ€™m back!โ€ Regina stopped yelling, her eyes lighting up with joy. โ€œOh, baby, youโ€™re finally back. Come, let me have a look at you. How have you been doing?โ€ She circled Eunice, inspecting her, and breathed a sigh of relief, ensuring she was safe. โ€œYou scared me to death. I was worried sick that btch would bully you these few days,โ€ she said, referring to Madelyn.

Without waiting for Eunice to respond, she asked eagerly, โ€œBy the way, you havenโ€™t been in touch these days. What on earth have you been up to? And, did you plead with your father on my behalf? Did he mention when we can go back?โ€

Eunice, annoyed by her motherโ€™s eagerness, said impatiently, โ€œMom, whatโ€™s the rush? I havenโ€™t started talking.โ€

Regina immediately nodded ingratiatingly. โ€œOkay, okay. Iโ€™ll let you speak first.โ€

Satisfied, Eunice said, โ€œActually, I have a plan, and Iโ€™ve found a strong backer. Iโ€™m sure he will help us when the time comes.โ€ Her expression turned solemn. โ€œBut Mom, thereโ€™s something you need to give up on. Dad already knew about our actions, and he probably detests us now. How could he possibly welcome us back?โ€

โ€œButโ€ฆโ€ Regina knew this, but struggled to accept reality. The thought of no longer living in the mansion exasperated her. However, she had no choice. โ€œSo what exactly do you plan to do?โ€

Eunice replied, โ€œLike I said, I already have a plan, and Iโ€™ve found a reliable backer. Trust me, Mom. I will reclaim Thornton Corporation and restore the affluent life you once had.โ€

Reginaโ€™s eyes lit up with excitement. The thought of luxury again filled her with anticipation. She nodded immediately. โ€œAll right. Whatever youโ€™re planning, I trust you. If itโ€™s something you want to do, then go ahead and do it. I will always support you.โ€

She would be overjoyed to escape her current life. Eunice nodded. โ€œMom, donโ€™t worry. Your daughter has grown up. From now on, let me take care of you.โ€

Regina was proud and comforted.

In the evening, Madelyn planned to head to the company after school. On her way, a flower shop caught her eye, so she asked the driver to pull over to purchase a stunning bouquet of Blue Enchantress roses. The driver noticed the roses and grinned. โ€œMiss, whoโ€™s the lucky recipient of these flowers?โ€

Madelyn spoke sweetly. โ€œMy boyfriend, of course.โ€

Thinking Sebastian might still be upset, she hoped the flowers would appease him. The driver chuckled, shaking his head. โ€œAh, itโ€™s great to be young. Young people are always full of romantic ideas. Unlike my wife and I, who are now too old for such frills.โ€

Madelyn chuckled but didnโ€™t say much else. She entered the company with the flowers, sparking excitement among the employees.
