Listen to this chapter:

Arnold’s expression was dark, clearly indicating a foul mood. He reiterated, "Felicia, if it weren't for my grandfather, I wouldn't look at you for a second." His rejection was unmistakable.

Felicia pondered his words. "What did your grandfather ask you to do this time? It can't be..." Her guess remained unspoken.

Arnold’s expression twisted into an unnatural sneer. "Yes, my grandfather insists I support you, be your lapdog. Are you happy now? Satisfied?"

Felicia was speechless, frustrated. Damn... What kind of grudge does Arnold have against me? she thought.

"Can't you just say no? Do you have to listen to your grandfather?" Felicia rolled her eyes, her disdain exceeding his.

"Felicia, playing hard to get is outdated, right?" Arnold replied impatiently.

Their argument was overheard by everyone on the bus. Whispers and disdainful comments were directed at Felicia. One woman even took a photo, quietly sending it to Kayla, who had been absent from college for a considerable time.

Kayla’s absence spanned two months: one for plastic surgery, the other for a wrist-cutting incident. This meant she’d missed the training program announcement. The photo, showing Felicia and Arnold sitting together in what appeared to be an affectionate conversation, left her incredulous.

Further inquiries revealed Arnold had invested a million dollars in the event. Furious, Kayla nearly exploded. Since Matthew’s anger-induced collapse, Arnold had ignored her calls and messages. He’d been secretly meeting with Felicia.

Kayla obtained the training program's location and instructed the maids to pack her belongings. Summoning her driver, she commanded, "Load my things and take me to Alverton!"

The driver hesitated. "Ms. Kayla, Alverton is far. Should I inform Mr. or Mrs. Fuller?"

"Just do as I say!" Kayla snapped.

The maids quickly packed two suitcases. As they departed, Kayla saw Shawn lurking at the Fuller residence gate. He’d persistently harassed her, demanding more money after already receiving thirty million dollars. He threatened to expose her real parents, Howell and Tabitha, to the college and the Lawson family.

Kayla had initially planned to report this to Dexter and Myra, believing their favoritism would ensure Shawn's removal. But now, she changed her mind. She stopped the car, beckoning Shawn. "Want money? Help me with something, and you'll get it."
