Listen to this chapter:

The moment Felicia introduced herself, Vincent dropped to his knees with an audible thud. Even Sidney, smirking moments before, froze mid-laugh, his expression transforming into sheer disbelief. The daughter of Khogend's wealthiest man? For someone like her, two million dollars was likely pocket change.

The rest of the process was seamless. Felicia and Vincent signed an investment agreement on the spot. He had originally sought one million dollars, but she boldly signed for two million.

"Ms. Fuller," Vincent hesitated, his voice tinged with concern. "This is two million dollars. Are you sure? What if Hexagon doesn't succeed? You'd lose everything..."

Felicia raised an eyebrow and replied with a calm smile, "Are you so unsure of your own potential? Because I, for one, have plenty of faith in you."

Her investment secured her 80% ownership should the company succeed. If it failed, she would accept the loss.

Felicia folded her contract and gave Vincent a reassuring look. "The money will be transferred within three days. Your job now is to grow your teamโ€”six people won't suffice. Start hiring, find a suitable office in a business district, and ensure your new headquarters reflects the confidence of a rising company. First impressions matter."

She smiled, waved her contract, and left without waiting for a reply. Vincent nodded furiously, his spirits soaring.

Meanwhile, in a secluded garden, Arnold paced, frustration etched on his face. After circling twice unsuccessfully, he glared at his assistant. "Didn't I tell you to keep Sidney from letting that man into the venue? Where is he?"

Jeremy Finley nervously wiped his brow. "M-Maybe he left?"

Arnold's expression darkened. "Find him!" He had been tracking Hexagon, a small startup whose mobile game had piqued his interest. His plan: prevent their pitch, then negotiate directly, securing the project cheaply and gaining full control. But his plan had failed.

Minutes later, his assistant returned, pale and stammering, "Mr. Lawson, Hexagon's project has been secured." Arnold's brows furrowed. "Who? Which investor?"

"Not an investor," the assistant replied cautiously. "Felicia. The Fuller heiress."

Arnold blinked. "Felicia? What's she doing investing? Does she even know what she's doing?" He clenched his jaw, frustrated. But after a moment, he shrugged. "Let her have it. It's a tiny project from a no-name company. The Lawson family doesn't need some second-rate game developer." He left with Jeremy trailing behind.

Outside, Sebastian found Felicia and sighed in relief. "Where have you been? I've been looking everywhere."

"I forgot my jacket," Felicia lied smoothly. "What about you? You don't look well."

Sebastian hesitated, then decided she needed to know. "I just got a call," he said grimly. "Ruben was found dead. Mina reported it to the police. They're retrieving his body from the water."
