Listen to this chapter:

Felicia's presence, though devoid of aggression, radiated an unyielding aura that prevented any outburst. The laughter subsided.

Olivia, stunned, blurted, "Felicia? What are you doing here?"

Felicia ignored her, stepping forward to examine Lewis's eyes. Turning to the eight physicians, she requested, "Bring me the silver needles."

They immediately produced their needle cases, offering them with respectful deference.

Felicia selected several needles, but Olivia intervened, shouting, "No! Bring in your top physician. I don't trust you!" Their shared history, from school to Alverton, fueled Olivia's distrust.

Felicia raised an eyebrow, smiling coolly. "To be blunt, I am the most skilled here."

"Hah!" Olivia scoffed, unconvinced. She believed she could find someone else to save Lewis. "We're leaving!" she declared, instructing her bodyguards to move him to the car.

Felicia remained calm, allowing them to leave. The physicians from Harmony Medical Center exchanged uneasy glances. Perhaps Lewis's condition is too complex, and Felicia knows she can't handle it, they thought.

Harvey, anxious, had orchestrated the Adlers' arrival hoping for a scene. He wouldn't let them leave so easily. He blocked Olivia's path, rubbing his hands. "Ms. Adler, you're really just leaving? Aren't you going to give them a little trouble?" he pressed, expecting her to attack the clinic.

Frustrated, Olivia retorted, "Who do you think you are? Move!"

As the Mercedes door opened, the bodyguards lifted Lewis. Suddenly, he convulsed. Initially, it was just his limbs; then his whole body seized. His eyes rolled back, and he twisted uncontrollably. "Mr. Adler! Mr. Adler!"

"Dad! Dad, what's happening? Don't scare me!"

"Oh no! He's biting his tongue! Quick, pry his mouth open!"

Chaos erupted. Traffic on Archer Street stalled, onlookers gathering. Olivia wept. Lewis, now on the ground, had bitten his tongue; the physicians struggled to open his mouth.

Crying, Olivia crawled to him, pleading, "Dad, bite me! Please, just don't bite yourself!" But he was unresponsive. His eyes were rolled back, his face red, his fingers clawed, and his legs convulsing violently. He was nearing death.

The physicians shook their heads, sighing. Olivia collapsed beside Lewis, sobbing, "Dad..." Even the bystanders felt a pang of sorrow.

Desperate, she turned to the physicians, "Can anyone save my dad? I'll pay anything! I beg you!"

Some physicians, embarrassed, admitted, "We can't..."

Olivia, usually proud, was a mess; tears streamed down her face as she knelt before them. Through her tears, she saw a figure emerge from the crowdโ€”Felicia.
