That was true. Even if Felicia were generous, she wouldn't sacrifice that much. She offered a compromise: "Fine, we'll put the property under my name for now, and you can move in first. I'll only transfer it to you when you're competent enough to manage it."

But Carmen shook her head. She'd jest about being a sugar baby, but it was just a joke. A property was far too expensive to accept. Felicia didn't argue further, instead choosing a property herself; she'd already intended to give Carmen the keys once it was acquired. Whether Carmen chose to live there was entirely up to her.

The real estate agent was ecstatic at her decisiveness. He would have rushed over with the contract immediately, but it was too late. Felicia had her eye on another villa and scheduled a viewing for the next day. If she liked it, she'd finalize both deals at once.

After scheduling the appointment, the agent offered to pick her up the next day, an offer Felicia readily accepted, saving her the trouble of arranging transportation.

The next morning, Felicia cooked a bowl of noodles and cleaned the kitchen. By then, the agent had arrived, twenty minutes early. He called, saying earnestly, "Please take your time, Ms. Fuller. I'll wait downstairs as long as you need. There's no rush at all!"

Felicia didn't keep him waiting long. She quickly changed and left. "Good morning, Ms. Fuller!" the agent greeted her with a bright smile, escorting her all the way. He held an umbrella to shield her from the sun and even placed a hand near her head to prevent her from bumping it getting into the car. Every detail was meticulously attended to.

Once Felicia was settled, the agent drove away, chatting nonstop—a perfect blend of humor and charm. As the car departed, unnoticed by them, a bald man lurked by a window on the seventh floor of the building across the street. He didn't look happy.
