Chapter 467
Inside the clinic, Kerry rubbed his leg, an aggrieved expression on his face. Felicia laughed; the kick hadn't been that hard. "Alright," she said, "I'll count it as a work injury."
Kerry beamed, his white teeth flashing as he chuckled.
It wasn't until sunset that Dexter finally left, his staggering figure pitiful. Felicia barely glanced at him before turning away, taking a different route homeโone opposite Dexter's. By the time she arrived, darkness had fallen.
As Felicia entered her villa's gates, she noticed someone standing in the courtyard under the automatic lights. Tall and lean, the figure idly played with a silver lighter, the flame illuminating his features with each flick. It was Stephan.
This man! He'd once climbed into her seventh-floor apartment. Now, with the height advantage gone, keeping him out of her villa proved even more challenging. She considered getting two large, ferocious dogs. If Stephan dared to scale the wall again, they could give him a good bite. The thought made her laugh aloud.
Lost in her imagination, she didn't realize she'd approached Stephan. He pocketed his lighter and smiled playfully. His gaze met hers as he drawled, "Are you that happy to see me, hmm?" His deep voice, carrying a unique charm, reached her on the gentle evening breeze.
Felicia cleared her throat. "Stephan, this is my home. Is this a habit?"
He chuckled lazily. "You said you missed me, so I came."
"Huh?" Felicia was dumbfounded. She hadn't even replied to his text! Lifting her chin, she questioned him silently.
Before she could refute him, Stephan stepped closer, his tall figure looming over her. "If you didn't reply, it means you missed me," he said, clicking his tongue. His smile widened, his eyes gleaming with amusement as he caught her discomfort. "You never dare admit you like me. You're a cowardly liar."
"You!" Felicia's face flushed crimson. Her temper flared. In a moment of impulsiveness, she grabbed his collar, pulled him close, and bit hard on his chin. She bit with enough force to taste blood instantly.
Instead of anger, Stephan chuckled, a look of indulgence on his face. He even leaned closer.
Felicia released him, still glaring. She forgot about the blood on her lips and unconsciously licked it away.
Stephan's gaze shifted. His fingers brushed her lips as he softly asked, "How does it taste?"
Felicia realized what she'd done. Biting him was one thing, but drawing blood and swallowing itโฆ Her actions were bold, unbearably intimate, startling even herself.
