When no one else was present, Johanna lowered her head, her expression carefully hidden. After all, a blind person couldn't see.

"Imogen, your eyes can be cured. I'm so happy for you," she began, her tone suddenly somber. "That miracle healer, Ms. Fuller, is also Stephan's sweetheart. Soon, you'll all be one family."

Imogen reached out and took Johanna's hand; a mixture of guilt and pity was evident on her face. She had repeatedly tried to bring Stephan and Johanna together, but even with her best intentions, Stephan had rejected her efforts, leaving no room for negotiation. As his elder sister, she couldn't force him.

Now, there was Felicia. After spending the past few days with her, Imogen had grown quite fond of her. Aside from a slightly aloof personality, there was nothing to criticize. Most importantly, Stephan liked her, and that was enough.

"Johanna, I'm so sorry. I know you like Stephan, but feelings can't be forced," Imogen said, then promised, "But don't worry, I'll always think of you as my little sister, and I'll never let anyone bully you!"

"Imogen, I know, but there's something I'm not sure if I should tell you…" Johanna hesitated, her voice full of uncertainty, yet a strange look of excitement flickered across her face.

Imogen urged, "What is it? Do tell."

"No, I'm afraid to," Johanna replied.

The more Johanna wavered, the tighter Imogen furrowed her brows. Finally, she raised her voice. "Johanna, I hate being kept in the dark. If you want me to feel at ease, speak up!"

"Imogen, don't get mad if I tell you!" Johanna sniffled, her voice trembling. "I found out who killed my brother. It happened a few months ago, while I was with Stephan in Khogend!"

The room fell deathly silent. Imogen stared ahead, her voice trembling as she asked, "Who's the murderer?"

A flash of satisfaction crossed Johanna's eyes. "The murderer is Dexter Fuller of the Fuller family, the former richest man in Khogend! And his daughter, Felicia Fuller, is the one staying at the Bussell estate, claiming she can cure your blindness!"

"What did you say?" Imogen gasped, her body trembling violently.

"Imogen, it's true! I found the information in Stephan's study. But he threatened me not to tell you because of Felicia! I didn't dare to speak until now…"

"That's impossible! Stephan is my brother! He wouldn't lie to me!" Imogen shook her head frantically. "If he had discovered the murderer, why hasn't he taken action?"

Johanna sobbed. "Imogen, don't you understand? Stephan kept it from you because of Felicia! He's afraid that if you learn the truth, you'll harm the Fuller family. For Felicia and the Fuller family's sake, he chose to deceive you and forget my brother's death. He refuses to seek justice for him!"

With each word, Imogen's face grew paler, until she was on the verge of collapse. She was overwhelmed by anger at her fiancé's murderer, hurt at discovering the murderer's daughter's true nature, and heartbreak at Stephan's betrayal.

Johanna watched Imogen's fury, pain, and despair, a triumphant, malicious smile spreading across her own face.
