Felicia was deep in thought when she heard Scarlet bluntly comment on the retreating figures, "These rich folks are really a mess. Look at this love triangle! Tsk, tsk...They're sure bold."
Still not understanding, Felicia asked, "What do you mean?"
Scarlet gestured with her lips. "Look, the man's wife is right next to him, right? The way they're holding hands, it's clearly a married couple."
She was referring to Imogen and Archie.
Felicia nodded. "That's right."
"And the woman next to him?" Scarlet pointed to Johanna.
Felicia replied, "That's his sister, Johanna."
Unexpectedly, Scarlet burst out laughing. "Sister? What kind of sister is that? She's obviously his lover! Look at the way they're looking at each other. Those gazes are overflowing with affection!"
Scarlet crossed her arms, pointed to her eyes, then at the three figures. Felicia stood there, stunned. This was a revelation with a huge impact.
Previously, while staying with Imogen, Felicia had heard countless times how much Imogen loved and longed for Archie. Imogen had described Archie as exceptionally caring and loving, the epitome of a good husband. Their bond seemed deep and unshakeable. Whenever Imogen spoke with such sorrow, Felicia had noticed Johanna subtly pouting her lips, displaying a faint disdain.
Back then, she sensed something more to the story, but as an outsider, she had refrained from making assumptions or judgments without solid evidence. Now, hearing Scarlet's direct accusation, Felicia felt as if a light bulb had gone off. She finally understood why she'd felt something was amiss.
If things were as Scarlet claimed, it all made perfect sense! These so-called siblings were openly affectionate in front of a blind woman, who remained oblivious, living in a web of lies and deception from the start. It made Felicia nauseous.
Her mind stirred, and she quietly followed them. Scarlet also quietly followed and asked, "Boss, are you planning to do something about this?"
"I want to verify your guess. If it is true..." Felicia trailed off.
If it were true, Imogen's situation was truly tragic. As a woman herself, despite conflicts and misunderstandings with Imogen, Felicia didn't want to see another woman trapped in such a vile scheme. It was absolutely disgusting!
Felicia smiled nonchalantly. "If it's true, exposing their facade will be my way of upholding justice."
Scarlet smiled in agreement. "People who betray true love deserve to be pierced with a thousand silver needles! Watching the drama unfold is fun. I love it!"
Scarlet's tone shifted. "And I also want to know, when the truth is revealed, how will that woman who's been treated like a fool react? Will she cry her heart out, or will she choose to endure and forgive?"
Scarlet, always eager for drama, grinned widely. "Wow, I'm really looking forward to this!"
