Scarlet stroked her chin thoughtfully, then clicked her tongue and gave Felida a thumbs-up. "You're ruthless, boss!" She knew Felicia had sent Entry to deliver medicine for Imogen, intended to restore her eyesight. However, Imogen's continued blindness indicated she hadn't taken the treatment. Felicia's plan was simple: ensure Imogen took the medicine. Then, the person kept in the dark would see the truth with their own eyes.

But considering Imogen's postpartum recovery, Felicia sighed. "For her health, we'll wait a couple more days."

Scarlet nodded in agreement. They had been deceived for so long; a little more patience wouldn't hurt. However, even Felicia couldn't foresee how coincidental events would unfold.

That very night, Imogen awoke with a start. Her heart pounded; she thought she heard her baby crying. Throwing off the covers, she hurried to the nursery. The sound of Caleb's crying confirmed her fears. He cried so hard his voice was hoarse. Imogen anxiously asked, "What's wrong? Is my baby feeling unwell?"

The nursery staff—a nanny and maids—saw Imogen enter. A maid quickly explained, "Ms. Russell, Mr. Caleb has a slight fever. We've already called the doctor; he says it's nothing serious. He suggested a bath to reduce the fever."

"Nothing serious? Then why is he crying so much?" Imogen's anxiety grew as she rushed over, tripping on a blanket and nearly falling, but the nanny caught her. Imogen steadied herself, taking Caleb into her arms. His cries intensified.

"My sweet baby, don't cry. It's my fault. I'm here now. Please stop crying," Imogen whispered, her heart aching. She comforted him, but nothing worked. Even the doctor's reassurance couldn't ease her worry. A mother felt her child's pain and carried the guilt. Imogen wished she could take Caleb's place, her heart breaking with each tear he shed. Finally, she couldn't hold back her own tears.

The nanny intervened, "Ms. Russell, let us take over. The baby's struggling too much, and since you can't see, it's making him more uncomfortable."

Imogen reluctantly handed Caleb back. As soon as the nanny held him, Caleb stopped crying. Imogen felt a surge of frustration at her blindness. The longing to regain her sight burned fiercely. If only she could see—at least see Caleb's face.

Wiping away her tears, Imogen suddenly realized she hadn't heard Archie. She asked, "Where's Archie?"

A maid replied, "Mr. Rosario hasn't come over tonight. He's probably still asleep and didn't hear anything."

Imogen frowned and went to the guest room. She twisted the doorknob, finding it locked from the inside. She knocked. "Archie! Archie!"

Inside, Archie woke abruptly to her voice. Beside him, Johanna panicked, "Oh no, we overslept!" They had been caught up and completely lost track of time.
