Imogen worried about Felicia more than anyone else. Felicia was slightly surprised, but there wasn't time to dwell on it. Caleb's crying was so intense, the baby could go into shock.

Felicia carefully checked Caleb's pulse. He was tiny, soft, and chubby, making an accurate reading difficult for most people. But Felicia had no problem. Still, as she felt the pulse, her expression faltered for a moment. She immediately rechecked it.

"How is he?" Imogen's voice trembled, betraying her anxiety.

Felicia's heart skipped a beat. She glanced at Stephan, who had been standing beside her. He had signaled the guards to apprehend Johanna earlier. Feeling Felicia's distress, Stephan gently squeezed her hand. "It's alright," he reassured her. "Say whatever you need to say."

Felicia didn't hesitate. "If my diagnosis is correct, Caleb has been implanted with a venomous creature."

"What?" Imogen almost fainted, stumbling backward. Nearby staff helped her. "Are you sure?" she asked, pale and steadier now, holding Caleb in one hand and clutching Felicia with the other. "Absolutely certain?"

Felicia shook her head slightly. She had phrased it cautiously, but she was certain. She softened her words to avoid overwhelming Imogen.

To Felicia's surprise, Imogen showed unexpected strength. After a few deep breaths, her motherly instinct took over. "Is there a way to fix it? Can it be resolved?" she asked.

Felicia hesitated. The venomous creature in Caleb's body seemed identical to the one affecting her. There was no cure. Her silence spoke volumes. Imogen's arms trembled as she held her baby tighter. What kind of person would do such a thing to a newborn?

Stephan placed a reassuring hand on Felicia's shoulder. Then, he turned to Imogen, whose eyes were red.

Felicia, deep in thought, remembered the mirror Johanna left behind—the one with the blood-written name. Something felt wrong. She asked, "Imogen, has anyone else had contact with Caleb?"

"Only those in the residence—a few housekeepers and nannies. There's also…" Imogen's voice trailed off, her eyes widening. Through gritted teeth, she spat, "Archie and Johanna!"

Even with Johanna's sudden appearance and ominous message, none of them had connected Caleb's condition to her and Archie. They were in this together. If Johanna targeted Caleb, Archie should have known. Even a beast wouldn't harm its offspring, yet Archie didn't stop Johanna! If it wasn't Johanna, but Archie himself, his depravity was unimaginable.

Imogen trembled with fury. "Those scumbags! Both of them! I shouldn't have let that bastard die so easily. I should have made him suffer before killing…" she thought back to Archie's "accident," the tears she'd shed. Now, it made her sick. Her love and devotion had been wasted. How laughable and foolish she had been, praying for his safe return.

Felicia frowned. Johanna's sudden appearance—risking capture to provoke them—had to have a deeper motive. Was she using Caleb as leverage?
