Chapter 180

Her outburst stunned Bianca into silence.

โ€œIs kneeling all youโ€™re good at? Do you think kneeling will make me surrender out of guilt?โ€ Abigail was thoroughly disgusted.

She went on, โ€œWhat I hate most are people like you and Daniella. Other than crying and playing the victim, what else can you do? Can you do somethingโ€”anythingโ€”that worries me less?โ€

Seeing she was furious, Wyatt immediately stepped forward to comfort her. โ€œAbby, donโ€™t bother with her. Iโ€™ll bring you another copy of the contract tomorrow morning. For now, just rest at Sebastianโ€™s house or go back to your roomโ€”whatever feels right.โ€

Daniella heard every word clearly. She thought, Abigailโ€™s staying at Sebastianโ€™s place? Have they already confirmed their relationship? Daniella could not accept it.

Abigail said, โ€œI truly loathe your begging. The more you beg, the more I wish for Daniella to meet a terrible end.โ€

Abigail continued, โ€œI donโ€™t understandโ€”shouldnโ€™t Daniella be punished for the awful things she did? Did I cause her downfall? Since I returned to the Gibson family, have I ever hurt her?โ€

โ€œIt was she who kept trying to ruin me. So what now? After she sent me to jail and made everyone hate me, she still thinks sheโ€™s the one whoโ€™s been wronged?โ€ she added.

Bianca said, โ€œAbbyโ€”โ€

โ€œDonโ€™t call me that! It makes my skin crawl.โ€ Abigail was livid. She felt absolutely no sympathy for Biancaโ€™s tearful pleading.

โ€œShe did all those horrible things to me because she had your support. Do you really think your hands are clean?โ€

Abigail stared at her coldly, her voice turning even icier. โ€œI honestly donโ€™t get it. How can you people be so shamelessโ€”always finding ways to excuse a murderer? Again and again?

โ€œIf you really loved her, youโ€™d make her take responsibility for her actions and become a decent human beingโ€”instead of enabling her to keep doing those cruel, idiotic things.

โ€œSheโ€™s over twenty already and still doesnโ€™t know right from wrong? And you, a woman in your forties, still so shameless? If you canโ€™t raise a child properly, why did you bring her home in the first place?โ€

Finishing her scold, Abigail turned and walked away.

Bianca was left speechless, her face burning with shame as Gabriel and Wyatt both looked at her with mocking expressions.

Stephen ignored her and quickly followed after Abigail, saying, โ€œLet me drive you.โ€

โ€œStay away from me. All of youโ€”except for Grandpaโ€”stay the hell away from me.โ€ Abigail stopped in her tracks and shot him a fierce glare.

Stephen felt a stab of pain in his chest.

Abigail left Gibson Villa and returned to Sebastianโ€™s house. As soon as she entered, all the kittens ran over to greet her. Abigail crouched down, stretching out her hand to pet them.

โ€œI just got back to deal with something. Iโ€™ll come visit you guys right after work from now on, okay?โ€ Abigail said gently while pulling out the cat teaser toys she had just bought.

That whole scene earlier had made her lose her appetite for dinner.

Once inside, Abigail threw out the rest of the cat toys, and the kittens excitedly started chasing them around.

She set down the toy stick and went to the fridge to look for food, but unfortunately, there was only raw meat inside.

Abigail felt low and unmotivated. She really didnโ€™t want to cook. After hesitating a while, she still ended up taking ingredients out of the fridge, frowning as she tried to decide what to make.

She was really hungry today, and pasta alone wouldnโ€™t be enough. The problem was, there was no delivery service available here either. Sebastian had warned her beforeโ€”if she didnโ€™t want to cook, she should eat before coming home.

While washing the vegetables, Abigailโ€™s phone rang. Seeing that it was Sebastian, she couldnโ€™t help but wonder, โ€˜Did Stephen tell him what happened?โ€™ She picked up the call and asked, โ€œWhat is it?โ€

โ€œAre you cooking?โ€ Sebastian asked directly.

โ€œI forgot to eat when I got back, so I figured Iโ€™d make something simple,โ€ Abigail told him.

โ€œI had James order you a hotel dinner. Itโ€™ll be delivered in half an hour,โ€ Sebastian said.

โ€œWho told you I hadnโ€™t eaten yet?โ€ Abigail turned off the tap, fished the vegetables out of the sink, and dried her hands before walking toward the couch.

โ€œNo one. My house has security cameras, but itโ€™s not because I want to spy on you. You didnโ€™t come back this afternoon, so I turned on the footage to check on the kittens,โ€ Sebastian explained, worried sheโ€™d misunderstand.

Abigail teased lightly, โ€œWhy so nervous? I didnโ€™t say you werenโ€™t allowed to check the footage.โ€
