Chapter 188
โIf youโve already found proof that Iโm not your daughter, why didnโt you let me go back to the orphanage?โ Abigail stared at Gabriel and Bianca and questioned.
Daniella let out a sigh of relief the moment everyoneโs attention shifted away from her.
โThe Gibson family raised you for a while. Since we had already announced publicly that we brought you back, of course, we had to continue raising you as someone useful. You did indeed serve a great purpose,โ Christian said on purpose to upset her.
If Abigail hadnโt been part of the Gibson family, her going to prison in place of Daniella wouldnโt have counted as compensation.
โShut your mouth!โ Stephen growled at Christian, then immediately turned to Abigail. โAbby, donโt listen to his nonsenseโโ
โYou just wanted someone who could bring benefit to the Gibson family. After all, you could afford my expenses.โ Abigailโs tone was sharp and sarcastic.
Gabriel said solemnly, โAbigail, many things in the past were misunderstandings. If the DNA test proves that youโre our daughter, then all of this was Daniellaโs doing. Iโve discussed it with your mom. Everything sheโs done to you, we will avenge you for it.โ
Abigail looked at Daniella, whose face had turned pale as paper, and then at Christian, who looked anxious.
She suddenly let out a cold laugh. โAnd how do you plan to avenge me? When Grandpa didnโt want to give her any shares, someone cried and begged to kneel down for me.โ
โYou say all this like youโre righteous, but in the end, itโs just moral blackmail.โ Abigailโs face was utterly indifferent.
Bianca got a sharp look from Gabriel, and then he tried to comfort Abigail, โBut it didnโt work in the end, right? Abby, your mom just has a soft heartโโ
โWe havenโt even done the DNA test yet. Sheโs not my mother. Even if, genetically, Iโm your daughter, I still wonโt acknowledge you,โ Abigail said.
After she finished, she looked at Stephen and said, โDonโt waste my time on this crap again. I only recognize Grandpa as my family. If you think I canโt stay in this house, then Iโll move out with Grandpa.โ
โI call the shots in this house. If I donโt agree, no one is kicking Abby out,โ Wyatt followed up.
Then, he turned to explain to Abigail, โAbby, I didnโt know they had another test result, thatโs why I treated you that way. I always thought you werenโt raised in Gibson Villa, and theyโโ
โGrandpa, letโs just handle the more important issue.โ Abigailโs voice was calm.
Gabriel stood up and said to Stephen, โGo get my belt.โ
As soon as Daniella heard that, she began trembling. She knelt on the floor, crying as she looked at Bianca. โMom, I just spent normally, I didnโt do anything else.โ
โDad, Dani is telling the truth. We never restricted her spending. You canโt blame it all on her,โ Christian said.
โShe mightโve used that money to buy a drone and poison Sebastianโs cat,โ Stephen said coldly from the side.
Christian shouted, โShut up! Thereโs no proof for thatโโ
Stephen roared, cutting him off, โWhat more proof do you need? She dared to kill someone in a car accident as soon as she turned eighteen and had Abby take the fall for her. Killing a cat is nothing to herโlike squashing an ant, right?โ
โIf you two donโt stop fighting, get out!โ Gabriel glared at his two sons.
โAbby, go upstairs,โ Wyatt said to Abigail, who was frowning nearby.
โNo. I want to stay here.โ Abigail sat on the sofa.
Stephen handed the belt to Gabriel, then also found a spot and sat down.
Gabriel walked toward Daniella with the belt in hand. โSpeak. These past two years, what did you do with those tens of millions of dollars?โ
Daniella cried as she shrank back, her eyes full of fear.
โMom, stop Dad!โ Christianโs face flushed red with anxiety.
Bianca turned her gaze away and muttered, โShe really spent too muchโฆ Why didnโt you ask her about it before?โ
โArenโt you going to confess?โ Gabriel asked Daniella.
Daniella knelt on the ground, clutching the carpet. She said stubbornly, โI didnโt lie. If you wonโt believe me, then just beat me to death. Right now, anything Abigail says is right, and whatever I say is wrongโbut none of this is my fault!โ
After she finished, she laughed bitterly at herself.
