Chapter 188

โ€œIf youโ€™ve already found proof that Iโ€™m not your daughter, why didnโ€™t you let me go back to the orphanage?โ€ Abigail stared at Gabriel and Bianca and questioned.

Daniella let out a sigh of relief the moment everyoneโ€™s attention shifted away from her.

โ€œThe Gibson family raised you for a while. Since we had already announced publicly that we brought you back, of course, we had to continue raising you as someone useful. You did indeed serve a great purpose,โ€ Christian said on purpose to upset her.

If Abigail hadnโ€™t been part of the Gibson family, her going to prison in place of Daniella wouldnโ€™t have counted as compensation.

โ€œShut your mouth!โ€ Stephen growled at Christian, then immediately turned to Abigail. โ€œAbby, donโ€™t listen to his nonsenseโ€“โ€

โ€œYou just wanted someone who could bring benefit to the Gibson family. After all, you could afford my expenses.โ€ Abigailโ€™s tone was sharp and sarcastic.

Gabriel said solemnly, โ€œAbigail, many things in the past were misunderstandings. If the DNA test proves that youโ€™re our daughter, then all of this was Daniellaโ€™s doing. Iโ€™ve discussed it with your mom. Everything sheโ€™s done to you, we will avenge you for it.โ€

Abigail looked at Daniella, whose face had turned pale as paper, and then at Christian, who looked anxious.

She suddenly let out a cold laugh. โ€œAnd how do you plan to avenge me? When Grandpa didnโ€™t want to give her any shares, someone cried and begged to kneel down for me.โ€

โ€œYou say all this like youโ€™re righteous, but in the end, itโ€™s just moral blackmail.โ€ Abigailโ€™s face was utterly indifferent.

Bianca got a sharp look from Gabriel, and then he tried to comfort Abigail, โ€œBut it didnโ€™t work in the end, right? Abby, your mom just has a soft heartโ€“โ€

โ€œWe havenโ€™t even done the DNA test yet. Sheโ€™s not my mother. Even if, genetically, Iโ€™m your daughter, I still wonโ€™t acknowledge you,โ€ Abigail said.

After she finished, she looked at Stephen and said, โ€œDonโ€™t waste my time on this crap again. I only recognize Grandpa as my family. If you think I canโ€™t stay in this house, then Iโ€™ll move out with Grandpa.โ€

โ€œI call the shots in this house. If I donโ€™t agree, no one is kicking Abby out,โ€ Wyatt followed up.

Then, he turned to explain to Abigail, โ€œAbby, I didnโ€™t know they had another test result, thatโ€™s why I treated you that way. I always thought you werenโ€™t raised in Gibson Villa, and theyโ€”โ€

โ€œGrandpa, letโ€™s just handle the more important issue.โ€ Abigailโ€™s voice was calm.

Gabriel stood up and said to Stephen, โ€œGo get my belt.โ€

As soon as Daniella heard that, she began trembling. She knelt on the floor, crying as she looked at Bianca. โ€œMom, I just spent normally, I didnโ€™t do anything else.โ€

โ€œDad, Dani is telling the truth. We never restricted her spending. You canโ€™t blame it all on her,โ€ Christian said.

โ€œShe mightโ€™ve used that money to buy a drone and poison Sebastianโ€™s cat,โ€ Stephen said coldly from the side.

Christian shouted, โ€œShut up! Thereโ€™s no proof for thatโ€”โ€

Stephen roared, cutting him off, โ€œWhat more proof do you need? She dared to kill someone in a car accident as soon as she turned eighteen and had Abby take the fall for her. Killing a cat is nothing to herโ€“like squashing an ant, right?โ€

โ€œIf you two donโ€™t stop fighting, get out!โ€ Gabriel glared at his two sons.

โ€œAbby, go upstairs,โ€ Wyatt said to Abigail, who was frowning nearby.

โ€œNo. I want to stay here.โ€ Abigail sat on the sofa.

Stephen handed the belt to Gabriel, then also found a spot and sat down.

Gabriel walked toward Daniella with the belt in hand. โ€œSpeak. These past two years, what did you do with those tens of millions of dollars?โ€

Daniella cried as she shrank back, her eyes full of fear.

โ€œMom, stop Dad!โ€ Christianโ€™s face flushed red with anxiety.

Bianca turned her gaze away and muttered, โ€œShe really spent too muchโ€ฆ Why didnโ€™t you ask her about it before?โ€

โ€œArenโ€™t you going to confess?โ€ Gabriel asked Daniella.

Daniella knelt on the ground, clutching the carpet. She said stubbornly, โ€œI didnโ€™t lie. If you wonโ€™t believe me, then just beat me to death. Right now, anything Abigail says is right, and whatever I say is wrongโ€“but none of this is my fault!โ€

After she finished, she laughed bitterly at herself.
