Chapter 93 Freeloader

Levi had trained in Calderian boxing abroad, so a fight with Eric would be unpredictable.

“Alright, you two. Cut it out. If you don’t stop, I’m leaving.”

My words diffused the palpable tension between them.

Eric calmly smoothed his sleeves and said, “Rest assured, Lie. I have no intention of arguing with him.”

He then left.

Levi remained displeased. “How did you even meet him, Jane? He seems familiar with this place. You two aren’t together, are you?”

I rubbed my forehead. There was too much to explain.

“You’re overthinking it. Let’s unpack your things. It’s late, and we need to sleep early; I’m taking you to the studio tomorrow.”

Levi finally unpacked.

The following morning, Eric arrived for breakfast, encountering Levi.

Levi’s eyes widened. “How did he get in here, Jane? Did you give him the passcode?”

I cleared my throat to explain, but Eric interrupted, a faint amusement in his expression. “Your so-called senior-junior relationship doesn’t seem like much. Jae and I almost got married. She didn’t tell you that, huh?”

Levi furrowed his brows, turning to me. After a silence, he shook his head firmly. “Impossible! You mentioned being almost married, but that clearly means you never wed.”

“I know Jane well enough to know she’d never develop romantic feelings for someone like you!”

They glared, the air thick with tension.

I quickly intervened. “Alright, you two. Knock it off and finish breakfast. I’m taking Levi to the studio later.”

Eric smiled faintly, mischief in his eyes. “I set up the studio for Jae, overseeing every detail. You’ll be working in a space I personally curated.”

Levi gripped his cutlery tightly, seeming ready to throw it. He gritted his teeth. “Rest assured, Jane. I’ll find a new place for your studio! I won’t allow us to owe anything to a self-centered jerk like him!”

Eric merely raised an eyebrow, calmly resuming his meal.

I took a deep breath, feeling drained. Work had already stressed me, and now this.

After breakfast, Eric unexpectedly offered to wash the dishes. Clearing the table, he glanced disdainfully at Levi. “I guess some people live off Jae’s kindness without gratitude. Is this how a senior-junior relationship works? He seems more like a freeloader to me.”

Levi, unable to tolerate the provocation, snatched the dishes. He gritted his teeth. “I’ll do the dishes! And you, get out!”

Eric shrugged, feigning innocence.

I looked at Eric exasperatedly as Levi went to the kitchen. “Why do you provoke him?”

Eric sighed faintly, feigning grievance. “I can’t stand him. He’s always around; I barely get to talk to you.”
