Chapter 1143: Are You Dressed So Nice to See Him?
โSusan, are you still my friend? I love Little Bunny, but I canโt have her, and you say sheโs pitiful. Donโt you know how much I care for her and how afraid I am of losing her? And now you say sheโs pitiful?!โ Theodore was furious. Heโd been asking for trouble seeking her help.
โSo, isnโt Little Bunny feeling the same way? You love her but canโt have her, and neither can she! Because you keep pestering her, she canโt be with the one she likes. Isnโt she suffering?!โ Susan countered.
โWhat is she suffering for!โ Theodore shouted. โSheโs already with Addison behind my back!โ
โSo youโre cuckolded!โ Susan exclaimed, sounding excited.
โIs this the point?!โ Theodore asked incredulously.
โTheodore, after playing the field, you finally have this day!โ Susan gloated. โWhy do I feel a little admiring of Little Bunny? How dare she cuckold you?!โ
โI want to kill her,โ Theodore gnashed.
โJust give up,โ Susan said, her tone suddenly serious. โLittle Bunny was with another man while still with you. This alone shows her love for him. She must have known the consequences of offending you, but she still took the risk. It proves that for him, sheโs willing to disregard much. So, Theodore, if youโre a real man, let Little Bunny go and wish her well. Sheโs been with you for years, suffered many grievances, and even bore your son. Donโt make things difficult for her.โ
โSusan, I asked for advice on pursuing Little Bunny, not on breaking up! I donโt need your help breaking up!โ Theodore was exasperated. How could Manuel tolerate Susan?
โIโm doing this for your own good. Breaking up now minimizes the damage and benefits you both. Dragging it out will only exhaust you, and Little Bunny still wonโt accept you. Wonโt that hurt even more? Donโt try so hard; Little Bunny wonโt be with you.โ
โHow come she wonโt? Am I that bad?โ
โSo tell me, how many women have you had during your marriage with Little Bunny?โ
Theodore was silent. He couldnโt count them.
โYou donโt even remember?!โ Susan pressed.
โI was young and foolish,โ Theodore defended himself.
โNo one has to understand your youthful mistakes. Little Bunny is also young and foolish; would you understand her?โ
โWhy should I understand? When I caught her with other men, I pretended not to see it!โ Theodoreโs anger flared. โYou donโt know how close I came to killing someone that day, but I held back!โ
โOkay, fine. Youโre tough enough,โ Susan said, pursing her lips. โBut thereโs a crucial point: you held back because you like Little Bunny; she didnโt hold back because she doesnโt like you at all! And if she doesnโt like you, your actions left an indelible bad impression on her.โ
โI donโt believe that.โ
โTheodore, thereโs no need to be so persistent. If you like her as much as you say, then act like a man and let go gracefully. Let her pursue happiness in peace,โ Susan pleaded kindly. She didnโt think he had a chance. From a womanโs perspective, his behavior had been too erratic. Debts must be repaid, especially debts of infidelity.
โForget it,โ Theodore hung up before Susan could respond. Damn it! Heโd almost been swayed. Did he have to wait for this to be rid of her? Couldnโt he fight for what he wants? No one could see how genuine she was.
The more Theodore thought about it, the angrier he became. After calming down half an hour later, he realized impulsiveness wouldn't help. He wouldn't give up without trying. He refused to believe he couldnโt win Little Bunnyโs heart. He straightened his clothes before going inside. Just as he reached for the door lock, it opened.
Little Bunny, dressed for going out, was about to leave. Was she planning on leaving like this? Was she so unwilling to stay?
Little Bunny looked surprised. โWhy are you back?โ she asked curiously.
โDonโt you want me back?โ
โHave you had lunch yet?โ
Little Bunny always avoided direct answers.
โI mean, donโt you want me back?โ
Little Bunny sensed his anger. She didnโt know what had happened. Theodoreโs temper was unpredictable, but she was used to it.
โNo, when you left, I didnโt feel like cooking. I had fruit salad. If you havenโt eaten, I can cook for you,โ she said.
โLittle Bunny, why are you so good to me?โ Theodore asked.
Theodore was acting strangely. She knew not to provoke him.
She laughed. โOf course, I need to be good to my donor.โ It was their relationship: Little Bunny saw him as a source of money; he wanted to treat her sincerely.
โI havenโt eaten,โ Theodore replied.
โThen Iโll help you cook,โ Little Bunny said, immediately turning around like a gentle doll.
Theodore wondered what she was like with Addison. Did she get angry? Could she act coquettishly? Did she shower after getting up?
Theodore suddenly laughed, tears welling up.
A phone rangโLittle Bunnyโs. She saw the caller ID and hung up without answering, then sent a text. She didnโt want to take the call in front of Theodore.
โIs it Addison?โ he asked.
Little Bunny visibly froze. So he guessed it.
โAre you dressed so nice to see him?โ he asked again.
