Chapter 1143: Are You Dressed So Nice to See Him?

โ€œSusan, are you still my friend? I love Little Bunny, but I canโ€™t have her, and you say sheโ€™s pitiful. Donโ€™t you know how much I care for her and how afraid I am of losing her? And now you say sheโ€™s pitiful?!โ€ Theodore was furious. Heโ€™d been asking for trouble seeking her help.

โ€œSo, isnโ€™t Little Bunny feeling the same way? You love her but canโ€™t have her, and neither can she! Because you keep pestering her, she canโ€™t be with the one she likes. Isnโ€™t she suffering?!โ€ Susan countered.

โ€œWhat is she suffering for!โ€ Theodore shouted. โ€œSheโ€™s already with Addison behind my back!โ€

โ€œSo youโ€™re cuckolded!โ€ Susan exclaimed, sounding excited.

โ€œIs this the point?!โ€ Theodore asked incredulously.

โ€œTheodore, after playing the field, you finally have this day!โ€ Susan gloated. โ€œWhy do I feel a little admiring of Little Bunny? How dare she cuckold you?!โ€

โ€œI want to kill her,โ€ Theodore gnashed.

โ€œJust give up,โ€ Susan said, her tone suddenly serious. โ€œLittle Bunny was with another man while still with you. This alone shows her love for him. She must have known the consequences of offending you, but she still took the risk. It proves that for him, sheโ€™s willing to disregard much. So, Theodore, if youโ€™re a real man, let Little Bunny go and wish her well. Sheโ€™s been with you for years, suffered many grievances, and even bore your son. Donโ€™t make things difficult for her.โ€

โ€œSusan, I asked for advice on pursuing Little Bunny, not on breaking up! I donโ€™t need your help breaking up!โ€ Theodore was exasperated. How could Manuel tolerate Susan?

โ€œIโ€™m doing this for your own good. Breaking up now minimizes the damage and benefits you both. Dragging it out will only exhaust you, and Little Bunny still wonโ€™t accept you. Wonโ€™t that hurt even more? Donโ€™t try so hard; Little Bunny wonโ€™t be with you.โ€

โ€œHow come she wonโ€™t? Am I that bad?โ€

โ€œSo tell me, how many women have you had during your marriage with Little Bunny?โ€

Theodore was silent. He couldnโ€™t count them.

โ€œYou donโ€™t even remember?!โ€ Susan pressed.

โ€œI was young and foolish,โ€ Theodore defended himself.

โ€œNo one has to understand your youthful mistakes. Little Bunny is also young and foolish; would you understand her?โ€

โ€œWhy should I understand? When I caught her with other men, I pretended not to see it!โ€ Theodoreโ€™s anger flared. โ€œYou donโ€™t know how close I came to killing someone that day, but I held back!โ€

โ€œOkay, fine. Youโ€™re tough enough,โ€ Susan said, pursing her lips. โ€œBut thereโ€™s a crucial point: you held back because you like Little Bunny; she didnโ€™t hold back because she doesnโ€™t like you at all! And if she doesnโ€™t like you, your actions left an indelible bad impression on her.โ€

โ€œI donโ€™t believe that.โ€

โ€œTheodore, thereโ€™s no need to be so persistent. If you like her as much as you say, then act like a man and let go gracefully. Let her pursue happiness in peace,โ€ Susan pleaded kindly. She didnโ€™t think he had a chance. From a womanโ€™s perspective, his behavior had been too erratic. Debts must be repaid, especially debts of infidelity.

โ€œForget it,โ€ Theodore hung up before Susan could respond. Damn it! Heโ€™d almost been swayed. Did he have to wait for this to be rid of her? Couldnโ€™t he fight for what he wants? No one could see how genuine she was.

The more Theodore thought about it, the angrier he became. After calming down half an hour later, he realized impulsiveness wouldn't help. He wouldn't give up without trying. He refused to believe he couldnโ€™t win Little Bunnyโ€™s heart. He straightened his clothes before going inside. Just as he reached for the door lock, it opened.

Little Bunny, dressed for going out, was about to leave. Was she planning on leaving like this? Was she so unwilling to stay?

Little Bunny looked surprised. โ€œWhy are you back?โ€ she asked curiously.

โ€œDonโ€™t you want me back?โ€

โ€œHave you had lunch yet?โ€

Little Bunny always avoided direct answers.

โ€œI mean, donโ€™t you want me back?โ€

Little Bunny sensed his anger. She didnโ€™t know what had happened. Theodoreโ€™s temper was unpredictable, but she was used to it.

โ€œNo, when you left, I didnโ€™t feel like cooking. I had fruit salad. If you havenโ€™t eaten, I can cook for you,โ€ she said.

โ€œLittle Bunny, why are you so good to me?โ€ Theodore asked.

Theodore was acting strangely. She knew not to provoke him.

She laughed. โ€œOf course, I need to be good to my donor.โ€ It was their relationship: Little Bunny saw him as a source of money; he wanted to treat her sincerely.

โ€œI havenโ€™t eaten,โ€ Theodore replied.

โ€œThen Iโ€™ll help you cook,โ€ Little Bunny said, immediately turning around like a gentle doll.

Theodore wondered what she was like with Addison. Did she get angry? Could she act coquettishly? Did she shower after getting up?

Theodore suddenly laughed, tears welling up.

A phone rangโ€”Little Bunnyโ€™s. She saw the caller ID and hung up without answering, then sent a text. She didnโ€™t want to take the call in front of Theodore.

โ€œIs it Addison?โ€ he asked.

Little Bunny visibly froze. So he guessed it.

โ€œAre you dressed so nice to see him?โ€ he asked again.
