Chapter 1174: He Loves You Too Much

Little Bunny was speechless. Theodore had intervened on her behalf, and she felt overwhelmed with gratitude. She was conflicted; she didn't want to jeopardize Addison's career, yet she felt she had wronged Theodore.

At dinner, Theodore sensed her fluctuating emotions. He knew he'd gone to great lengths for her, hoping to alter her perception of him. During the meal, he said playfully, "From now on, stick with me. Forget other men."

His words revealed his possessive desire for her, a revelation that brought Little Bunny a sense of equilibrium. His actions were not purely selfless; they stemmed from his feelings for her.

She readily agreed, "I promise I won't leave you, as long as you don't push me away."

"Good," Theodore replied. He felt uncertain about the situation, but having Little Bunny by his side was paramount.

The next day, Addison was released due to lack of evidence. Authorities attributed his positive drug test to a setup while intoxicated. After observation, his lack of addiction or prior drug use was confirmed, resulting in the dismissal of charges.

This news sparked a significant online reaction. Those who'd accused Addison were silenced, his reputation restored, and public apologies were demanded.

One of Addison's first actions upon release was calling Little Bunny. Initially hesitant, she eventually answered.

"Hi, Addison."

"Little Bunny! I'm out!"

"I saw the news."

"Thank you. Was it Theodore...?"

"We shouldn't talk about this anymore," Little Bunny interrupted. The matter was sensitive and best left unaddressed.

"Okay," Addison replied, understanding her need for closure. He wanted to express his gratitude and apologize for inadvertently involving her in his troubles. He'd exploited her kindness.

"Don't call me again," Little Bunny stated firmly.

"Is this because of Theodore?" Addison asked.

"It doesn't matter. I want to be with Theodore."

"He forced you into this," Addison insisted, consumed by guilt. He regretted his release, realizing he'd been manipulated by his agent, Yuna.

"No, he's kind to me."

"You're just saying that..."

"Addison, I answered to clarify things," Little Bunny stated seriously. "Last time, I lied to protect myself from Theodore's retaliation. This time, I'm being sincere. Now that you're free, we're even. No guilt, no obligation. Let's move on, or say goodbye. As for Theodore, my feelings aren't love yet, but I believe I can develop a connection with him and try my best."

Addison listened, acutely aware of her meaning. She no longer loved him. Their relationship was over.

"Goodbye, Addison," she said, her voice final.

Their farewell signified complete emotional detachment. Addison, fighting back emotion, replied, "Take care of yourself, Little Bunny."

Little Bunny, wary of offending Theodore, put down her phone, feeling slightly bored. Thoughts of Theodore, however, lifted her spirits. She called him: "Will you be home for dinner?"

"No," Theodore replied, "I have a dinner party."

"Will you be back late?"

"A little late."

"Okay. I'll wait for you."

"Um."

Disappointed, she hung up. She longed to cook for him. Last night's spicy meal had left her suffering from pepper fumes, but seeing his happiness had made it worthwhile.

"We can leave now," her agent said.

A planned dinner party was cancelled; Little Bunny had other plans with Theodore. Her agent, hesitant to intervene, took her home. In the car, he asked, "Are you okay with Theodore?"

"What?" Little Bunny asked, confused.

"Theodore got Addison out, didn't he? You begged Theodore for this."

Little Bunny remained silent.

"I thought you and Theodore... I thought he wasn't serious, like with others. But he helped you so much and stayed. Maybe he has no feelings, just wants possession. Or maybe he loves you too much, suppressing his emotions to be with you."

"Don't say anymore," Little Bunny said, disliking the discussion of her relationship. "Theodore and I are as we were, not what people think."

"Nah, I think he loves you too much."
