Chapter 183: She Had Gone Viral

Hannah wriggled, struggling to resist Oscar's strength. If this continued, she feared losing her virginity.

"No! I'm a virgin!" she exclaimed.

Oscar paused.

"I'm a virgin," Hannah repeated. Despite sleeping with Charles in her previous life, she considered herself a virgin since her return. It felt like a white lie, but a necessary one.

She noticed a smile on his face. What a jerk! she thought. Most men were unfaithful, yet expected their wives to remain virgins. All men are jerks! she grumbled inwardly.

"Get off me!" Hannah pushed him. His weight suffocated her, but he remained still. Then, he said, "Would you like to tryโ€ฆ on me?" The words, laced with desire, sent a blush to her cheeks. Men are born lustful! she thought.

"Oscar, you said you wouldn't force me. You'd wait until I agreed," Hannah reasoned.

"Did I?" Oscar frowned, feigning ignorance.

Gritting her teeth, Hannah felt irritated. Finally, noticing her expression, he conceded, "Alright, alright. I did say so."

She found his intentions inscrutable. Just as she breathed a sigh of relief, he declared, "No, I'm going to break my word."

As panic surged, Oscar released her. She stared, suspecting another trick. "If you keep staring like that, I'm going to do itโ€ฆ"

Hannah scrambled off the bed, needing distance. She grabbed her phone and rushed into the bathroom, locking the door behind her. Oscar, staring at the door, felt the need for a cold shower.

Sitting on the toilet, Hannah prepared to check the news when Susan called. Another two-hour conversation like last night? she thought.

"Hey, Susan?"

"Hannah, have you checked the news today?" Susan asked, almost simultaneously with Hannah's intention.

"What?"

"You've gone viral!"

Last night's presentation had been a resounding success.

"The headline says you're the greatest lady in the world!" Susan exclaimed, thrilled.

While Hannah expected praise, she was still excited. Compliments were always welcome.

"Oscar must be blessed by God, and I bet Charles is damned!" Susan concluded.

"I didn't expect you to wake up so soon," Hannah said, wanting to shorten the conversation.

"I didn't want to eitherโ€ฆ" Susan paused. "I woke up for no reason, then saw everything online. Even celebrities got less attention! You're amazing. Teach me your secret."

"You want to learn?" Hannah asked seriously.

"Nopeโ€ฆ" Susan replied after a moment. "I prefer to have fun."

"Be more ambitious," Hannah urged.

"My best friend is ambitious. That's enough!" Susan smiled.

Hannah was speechless.

"Alright, I gotta hang up and get ready for wedding pictures."

"With Henry?" Hannah asked.

"Of course," Susan replied.

After a silence, Hannah held back a comment.

"Hey, check the news! Check the news!" Susan repeated.

"Alright, bye."

"Bye." Susan hung up.

Hannah fell silent. 'There are still a few more days to goโ€ฆ' she mused, then opened her news app.

The headline blared: Hannah, a Hidden Talent, Revealed as Lead Designer of Celina. The article was filled with compliments and impressive pictures from last night's launch. She scrolled through enthusiastic comments:

'I can't believe there's such an eye-catching lady! She's gorgeous and talented! I'm so jealous!'

'Me be like a piece of shit.'

'I wish God could remake me! I'm ashamed to share the world with Hannah!'

She found the comments amusing. After browsing the Celina launch coverage, she saw a less popular article: 'The Lead Designer & Top 1 Model! Wife Versus Ex. Hannah & Janet, who will win his favor?'

Curiosity piqued, she clicked. The article presented neutral information and pictures of Hannah and Janet from the launch, but the comments were heavily biased in Hannah's favor:

'Hannah is the best!'

The comments continued for pages.

"What the hell are you doing in there?" Oscar shouted from outside the bathroom.
