Chapter 478 The Game (21)
Hannah smirked; Charles was trying hard to appear tough.
She went straight to the point. "I heard you're transferring the e-commerce project."
"None of your concern! You're paying for the project, not me!" Charles sneered. "It's worth four billionโenough to cover my two-billion investment, the subsequent billion, and still leave a billion profit. Do you think you can destroy me after all your tricks? I made a huge profit without further investment. I win!"
"Oh, really?" Hannah said casually.
"Don't gloat! You're too naive to fight me. You'll regret making me your enemy!" Charles's bravado masked his dwindling confidence. Hannah remained unimpressed; to her, he was a fool.
"To whom are you selling it?" she asked.
"You want it?" Charles sneered.
Hannah didn't respond.
"Hannah, from the start, I knew you were targeting this project. You wouldn't invest so much effort unless you could profit. A flourishing project benefits me, but it also enhances your reputation. For a moment, I thought you'd made a mistake. You surprised me with your early trap. But you didn't expect me to relinquish the project. You never thought I'd sell it to someone else, did you?"
Charles sneered. "I'd rather lose everything than let you gain a penny. Want the project? Dream on!"
"Charles, I once thought you were clever," Hannah said, her composure a stark contrast to his anger.
"A fool like you is no match for me," she mocked.
"Hannah!" Charles raged.
"If you knew I targeted the project from the beginning, you should have realized it would be mine exclusively," Hannah said coldly.
"Are you threatening me?"
"You'll soon find out," Hannah sneered. "Charles, consider how to please me. I might show some mercy."
"Nonsense!" Charles disbelieved her.
"Just wait and see."
Hannah hung up. She anticipated Charles groveling, just as she'd once begged for survival. Clenching her fists, she awaited her revenge. Then, a news alert appeared on her phone:
'Big announcement from Bills Group: They will cooperate with Cooper Group once Sawyer Group withdraws.'
The news sent shockwaves through the business world. Those whoโd coveted the project recoiled.
