Chapter 551: Miscarriage

"Manuel, are you sure you're starting a relationship with that woman?" Martina screamed, consumed by jealousy at his burgeoning affection for another.

"Whoever I'm involved with, it will never be you, Miss Sawyer. Please watch your language," Manuel responded indifferently, then left with Hannah.

Watching them go, Martina seethed with hatred, vowing revenge on Hannah.

In the car, Hannah, observing Manuel's cold expression, asked, "Will you be swayed by her persistence?"

Manuel shook his head, clarifying, "I don't know." He was a man of fluctuating emotions, susceptible to change.

"What about your meeting with Sarah?" Manuel changed the subject.

"Hard to say. We'll see," Hannah replied, uncertain. Sarah, however, was unlikely to compromise. Hannah called Theodore, "It's time."

"Are you sure?" Theodore asked, incredulous at Hannah's drastic plan.

"Yes," Hannah affirmed, remembering Sarah's past torment and vowing retribution.

At Symphony Kitchen, Sarah lacked appetite. Seeing Martina crying, she assumed it was due to Manuel's rejection. Unmoved, Sarah ignored her, simply stating, "Time to go."

Martina, equally disinclined to dine, watched Sarah depart with her head held high. Martina's fury intensified; she viewed Sarah as a mere pawn exploited by her brother, cursing her impending downfall. She followed Sarah to the car.

The chauffeur drove cautiously, mindful of Sarah's pregnancy. Suddenly, he swerved sharply to avoid a collision, causing both women to hit their heads.

Enraged, Martina shrieked, "What's wrong with you? Are you trying to kill us?"

"Miss Sawyer, I'm sorry. A car was rushing towards us," the chauffeur explained, "I barely avoided a collision."

"Enough!" Martina snapped.

Before he finished, another car appeared, catching him off guard. Their car was hit, crashing into a roadside barricade. Both women screamed.

Sarah's face paled with panic. Clutching her belly in agony, she felt a tearing sensation. Martina, dazed, finally grasped the situation.

"Call an ambulance!" she yelled.

The disoriented chauffeur struggled. Martina called Charles, "Charles! We were in an accident! Sarah's in terrible pain!"

Charles, amidst a clandestine meeting concerning Oscar's trial, was stunned. They'd just rescheduled the trial for the following week. He was instantly panicked. "Where are you? Get her to a hospital!"

"We called an ambulance. But Sarahโ€ฆ"

"Send me the location! I'll be there!"

He arrived to find the ambulance already present. Sarah, Martina, and the chauffeur were being loaded. Charles followed, his concern focused entirely on Sarah.

"Are you okay?" he asked.

"It hurtsโ€ฆ my bellyโ€ฆ" Sarah gasped. He noticed the bleeding. Horror washed over him. The potential loss of the baby terrified him far more than Sarah's pain. The Collins family couldn't learn of this. If they found out he'd failed to protect Sarah, Rowan would kill him. Sarah was his only lifeline.

"Charles, if something happens to the babyโ€ฆ" Sarah whispered.

"No! It won't. Trust me!" Charles insisted.

Sarah questioned his love, wondering if Hannah was involved. Pain dulled her thoughts, and she closed her eyes.

At the hospital, Sarah was rushed to emergency. Martina and the chauffeur had minor injuries. Everyone anxiously awaited news.

Finally, the doctor emerged. "I'm sorry, but we couldn't save the baby. Mrs. Sawyer was early in her pregnancy, making her vulnerable to miscarriage after such an impactโ€ฆ"

Charles's face turned ashen, not from concern for Sarah, but from fear of Rowan's wrath. "Thank god, the baby is fine," he declared, shocking everyone.

"I will kill anyone who leaks this!" he hissed.

Sarah, tearful, was taken from emergency. Charles comforted her.

"It must be Hannah! I have to tell my father to bury her alive!" Sarah cried out.
