Chapter 814: A Trap for Sarah Collins

Hannah returned to the villa immediately after her pregnancy checkup. Max hurried to greet her. "Ms. Cooper, what did the doctor say? How is the baby?" he asked.

"Healthy. Growing well," Hannah replied with a smile.

"You don't seem to have gained any weight," Max observed.

"Max, it's the baby," Hannah explained. "The doctor said the fetus is developing healthily."

Hannah often marveled at the miracle of life, wondering if the baby could sense her thoughts. Perhaps this explained its vigorous growth.

Hannah entered the lounge and settled onto the sofa. Her phone rang.

"Ms. Hannah, I have it!" Rose exclaimed excitedly.

Hannah remained calm. "Come to my home and we'll discuss it in person," she instructed.

"Okay, I'll be there soon," Rose replied before hanging up.

After a short time, Rose arrived and entered the lounge. She was startled by the numerous bodyguards. "Are they protecting you?" she asked.

Hannah, accustomed to constant surveillance, simply said, "Show me the video."

Rose quickly produced her phone and displayed the encrypted video. The footage showed Sarah, her face contorted with fury, throwing items from her desk โ€“ including the computer โ€“ onto the floor. She even deliberately threw the computer at an employee, causing the employee to cry out in pain. Sarah then yelled, "What are you crying for? You asked for it!"

The employee remained silent.

Sarah continued her tirade. "How dare you talk behind my back! Malicious? Incompetent? Nobody loves me?" she screamed. The terrified employees cowered in silence. Hannah, having orchestrated the recording, easily visualized the scene.

Sarah had deliberately vented her rage on the employees Hannah had previously placed in important positions, a calculated act of revenge. The staff endured the abuse to protect their jobs.

It was Hannah's trap: Rose had intentionally provoked Sarah, recording her outburst and ultimately exposing her behavior.

Hannah watched calmly as the video continued. Sarah shouted, "If you don't want to work here, get out! Right now! The company doesn't need you!" The remark, "Nobody loves her," especially stung. Some employees wept at her cruelty.

"The Cooper Group will thrive without you! I'm degrading myself working with you idiots. If Manuel hadn't made me general manager, I wouldn't be here! I'm ashamed to work here, with you lowlifes! How could you be core members? Hannah must have been blind to hire you! To hell with all of you!" Sarah raged.

Hannah watched, a cold smile playing on her lips. A loose tongue, as the saying goes, is the root of all evil. Sarah seemed to have forgotten the pervasiveness of modern communication.

Sarah continued her outburst, yelling at one employee, "Get out and get your fucking pay. I don't want to see you here."

"I have a long-term contract. I haven't made any critical mistakes. You can't fire me," the employee bravely retorted.

"Contract? For money? I have oceans of money, and half the country belongs to the Collins family. Do you think I can't afford a little compensation? What a joke!" Sarah sneered.

"The law protects our rights," the employee insisted.

"The law?" Sarah laughed scornfully. "We are the law! We can dismiss you effortlessly."

The employee was speechless.

Sarah, feeling vindicated, added, "It's not fair in this world, not from birth. I was born into the highest status. You ragtags!"

The employee, unable to endure any more, left. The video ended.

Rose, indignant, said, "I've watched it several times, and I'm still furious. How can she be so arrogant and rude!"

Hannah admitted she hadn't anticipated Sarah's appalling behavior. She'd assumed Sarah, despite her flaws, possessed self-control and a certain level of decorum. The video revealed a far more vulgar side.

"What should I do next?" Rose asked.

"I'll tell you later."

"All right. I await your instructions." Rose refrained from further questions. She understood that exposing the video directly might alert Sarah and could prove too risky, given Sarahโ€™s connections and aggressive nature.

Rose departed.

After a moment's hesitation, Hannah called Manuel.

Manuel was in a meeting when he received the call. Susan watched him leave, wondering who could possibly interrupt him. It's certainly not me, she thought.

Outside the meeting room, Manuel answered the phone. "Hannah."

"Have you forgotten our agreement that I could bypass Oscar and ask for your help?" Hannah asked.

"Of course," Manuel replied instantly, fearing Hannah might still harbor resentment over Oscar's actions.
