Chapter 1220

Back at Oak Apothecary, Andrew turned to Janice and said calmly, โ€œIf anyone from Genesis Dispensary dares show up here again, you call me immediately.โ€

The cold edge in his voice made Janiceโ€™s heart skip. She nodded quickly and murmured, โ€œGot it, Andrew.โ€

Even now, standing back in familiar surroundings, her nerves had not fully settled. There was only one word she could use to describe him: unstoppable.

Just then, Ronan, supported by an assistant, walked slowly from the back room. โ€œMr. Lloyd, Janiceโ€ฆ you two went to Genesis Dispensary, didnโ€™t you?โ€

Janice hesitated, then glanced at Andrew, unsure whether to speak.

However, Andrew did not make a big deal of it. He waved her on. โ€œItโ€™s fine. Go ahead.โ€

Janice did not hold back. โ€œGrandpa, Andrew took me to Genesis Dispensaryโ€ฆ and completely wrecked the place!โ€ Ronan nearly dropped his reading glasses. โ€œWhat? Mr. Lloyd, youโ€“โ€

Janice interrupted quickly, โ€œDonโ€™t worry, Grandpa! Weโ€™re fine. The ones who arenโ€™t are Genesis Dispensaryโ€“and that thug Ellis. Andrew practically beat him half to death!โ€

Ronan was caught off guard. Eventually, he said, โ€œJanice, step outside for a moment. Iโ€™d like to speak to Mr. Lloyd alone.โ€

Andrew remained silent, waiting for what the old man had to say.

Once the others had stepped out, Ronan made his way to a chair and gestured politely. โ€œMr. Lloyd, please, sit.โ€ Andrew did not take the offer. His tone remained level. โ€œMr. Bates, if you think I overstepped today and brought unnecessary trouble to Oak Apothecary, donโ€™t worry. I wonโ€™t bother you again.โ€

Ronan shook his head and let out a long sigh. โ€œNo, Mr. Lloyd, you misunderstand. I asked her to leave not to scold you, but because I wanted to thank you. For those of us in medicine, integrity is everything. And you, Mr. Lloyd, have helped me reclaim the dignity I thought Iโ€™d lost forever.โ€

Tears welled in the old manโ€™s eyes. He struggled to his feet, clearly trying to kneel in gratitude.

Andrew immediately stepped forward to stop him. โ€œMr. Bates, please donโ€™t. I had my own reasons for acting today. The truth is, Mosby and I already had unresolved conflicts. And your injuries happened because you were helping me gather the herbs I requested. So really, stepping in was the least I could do.โ€

Ronan wiped away his tears and slowly sat back down. โ€œMr. Lloyd, youโ€™re not just courageousโ€“youโ€™re fearless. To take on Mosby like thatโ€ฆ Iโ€™m truly impressed.โ€

He paused, then asked cautiously, โ€œThereโ€™s something Iโ€™ve been meaning to ask. Iโ€™m not sure if I shouldโ€ฆโ€

Andrew offered a faint smile. โ€œGo ahead, Mr. Bates. If I know the answer, Iโ€™ll tell you.โ€

Ronan hesitated for a moment, staring deep into Andrewโ€™s eyes. โ€œMr. Lloydโ€ฆ the person shaking up all of Blumedale right nowโ€“the one openly clashing with the cityโ€™s most powerful familiesโ€ฆ is that you?โ€

Andrew gave a small nod and smiled. โ€œThatโ€™s right. Thatโ€™s me.โ€

Ronan had expected that answer, but hearing it out loud still left him reeling. Meeting Andrew had seemed like pure chance.

Up until now, he had believed the young man, despite his unmatched medical skills, was still relatively unknown.

Definitely not someone from Blumedaleโ€™s elite circle. But now, he realized he had been wrong.

This was not just some rising geniusโ€“this was a force of nature. Someone who struck first, asked nothing, and feared no one.

Ronan exhaled slowly, almost in awe. โ€œIn Gabo Creek, Iโ€™ve met countless prodigies over the years. The Three Titans need no introduction. Joe from the Driscolls, Luna from the Phelansโ€“both are prodigies in every sense. Luna is nearly one of a kind.โ€

He paused again and sighed deeply. โ€œBut someone like you, Mr. Lloydโ€“someone whoโ€™s so direct, so fearless, so utterly dominantโ€“I canโ€™t say Iโ€™ve ever met another like you in all my years.โ€
