Chapter 1263

When Andrew called him a loser, Bernardโ€™s face instantly darkened with anger. He hissed, โ€œAndrew, youโ€™ve already left Jayrodale General Hospital. What gives you the courage to still act so disrespectfully in front of me? Donโ€™t you believe that with one word from me, I could have you thrown out of here?โ€ he threatened.

Andrew smirked dismissively. โ€œReally? Why donโ€™t you try it?โ€

Bernard grew furious and was about to put on airs when Thomas Bozzelli, with his imposing presence, spoke calmly. โ€œBernard, as medical professionals, we should maintain composure and tranquility. If your mind isnโ€™t calm and your spirit isnโ€™t balanced, you wonโ€™t grow; your medical skills will stagnate.โ€

Bernard showed utmost respect in Thomasโ€™ presence. โ€œThank you for the guidance, Dr. Bozzelli. I understand.โ€

Thomas gave a slight nod and turned his cold gaze toward Norman. โ€œNorman, this is where Blumedale Hospitalโ€™s leadership works and rests. Not just anyone should be brought here casually. Take him back. I need to discuss important matters with Malcolm, and I donโ€™t want any disturbances.โ€

Norman forced an awkward laugh and explained, โ€œDr. Bozzelli, Mr. Lloyd is also here to see Dr. Goddard. Plus, Mr. Lloyd is a medical professional.โ€

Thomas responded with a disinterested โ€œoh,โ€ maintaining his mysterious demeanor of an expert. โ€œThen arrange for him to wait. You can bring him in after Iโ€™m done.โ€

Norman immediately found himself in a difficult position and could not help looking toward Andrew. โ€œMr. Lloyd, as you can see, we shouldโ€“โ€

Andrew cut him off directly. โ€œNo. I arrived first, so naturally, I should see Dr. Goddard first. First come, first servedโ€”itโ€™s a principle you understand, and I believe Dr. Bozzelli should understand it too.โ€

Norman felt his scalp tingle with anxiety, not expecting this bold man to cause another scene after already making a commotion at the hospitalโ€™s front desk. Now, he was even daring to disrespect Thomas. He thought this was just pure, excessive arrogance.

Thomas frowned, his consistently condescending gaze focusing on Andrew for the first time. He lectured, โ€œYoung man, since youโ€™re also in the medical field, you should know to respect your elders and those with superior medical skills. Yes, you arrived first, but do you know who I am?โ€

He continued proudly, โ€œIโ€™m a deputy chief at Blumedale Hospital and a specially subsidized national expert. The banners, certificates, and medals hanging on my office wall represent heights you might never achieve in your lifetime. So now, do you see why you should step aside like a good boy?โ€

Bernard sneered. โ€œDr. Bozzelli, you probably donโ€™t know Andrew yetโ€“heโ€™s always been arrogant. In fact, heโ€™s the one from Jayrodale General Hospital I told you about.โ€

Thomas displayed a contemptuous smile as he looked Andrew over. โ€œNo wonder! So youโ€™re that Andrew whoโ€™s been throwing his weight around at Jayrodale! You probably donโ€™t know that not only am I a director at Blumedale Hospital, but Iโ€™m also the largest shareholder of Jayrodale General Hospital. So technically speaking, since you were employed at my hospital, you should address me as Mr. Bozzeli.โ€

Andrew laughed. โ€œSo youโ€™re Bernardโ€™s biggest backer! I apologize for my oversight. But Mr. Bozzelli, I should remind you that I no longer work at Jayrodale General Hospital, which means youโ€™re nothing to me now.โ€

Thomasโ€™s expression darkened as he adopted a lecturing tone. โ€œYoung man, even if youโ€™ve left my hospitalโ€“โ€
