Chapter 1875

That was the beauty of advanced martial arts. The more one trained, the more energized and focused they would become. Of course, if they lost control, it could backfire fast, leaving their mind agitated and eventually going completely mad.

Henry was dressed in workout clothes and got up even earlier than office workers. By 5 a.m., he was already practicing his breathing techniques and combat drills in the villa courtyard. At 6 a.m. sharp, he sat down for breakfast. By 6:30 a.m., he grabbed Andrew by the shoulder and dragged him out the door.

The man might have been a feared figure across Goldridge now, but essentially, he was just another poor soul trapped in the grind of endless work. Andrew silently mourned for himโ€ฆ for a brief second.

โ€œToday, Iโ€™m putting you to the test! Youโ€™ll follow my commands, no questions!โ€ Henry barked at Andrew.

Andrewโ€™s face stayed blank, like a lifeless puppet.

Henry ordered, โ€œGet in the car!โ€

Andrew obediently climbed into the vehicle. Then, Henry hit the gas and started driving. Along the way, he picked up some of his subordinates, including that traitor, Alex.

Alex got in the car and asked with a fawning smile, โ€œMr. Fischer, which family are we taking on today?โ€

Henry replied coldly, โ€œOne of Goldridgeโ€™s major families, the Yeagers!โ€

Alexโ€™s eyelid twitched as he stammered, โ€œTโ€“The Yeagers wonโ€™t be easy to deal with!โ€

Henry sneered. โ€œEven if theyโ€™re not easy to deal with, weโ€™re still going to deal with them! If the Yeagers donโ€™t cooperate, Iโ€™ll leave it to Andrew!โ€

Alex glanced at Andrew sitting nearby. โ€œHim? Can he handle it?โ€

Henry said, โ€œRight now, heโ€™s a chess piece in my hands that goes wherever I point him. All you need to do is back him up when the time comes.โ€

Alex grinned wickedly. โ€œSo youโ€™re saying this muttโ€™s already been conquered by Mr. Humphreyโ€™s Phantom Mirage? Mr. Fischer, can I test it out?โ€

Henryโ€™s expression remained indifferent. โ€œDo whatever you want!โ€

Alex rubbed his hands together with a sinister smile. He addressed Andrew, โ€œAndrew, you little punk, do you still remember me?โ€

Andrew replied blankly, โ€œI rememberโ€ฆ Youโ€™re a huge idiot!โ€

Alex was stunned, but he quickly flew into a rage. โ€œMr. Fischer, this little bastard is perfectly fine! Look, heโ€™s cursing at me!โ€

Henry waved his hand dismissively. โ€œRelax. His mindโ€™s numb now. Whatever he says comes out without thought or filter. For all you know, calling you an idiot mightโ€™ve been a compliment.โ€

Alexโ€™s mouth twitched violently as he looked uncertain. โ€œReally? Alright, let me test it one more time! Andrew, call me sir!โ€

Andrew replied, โ€œBastard, what are you up to?โ€

Alexโ€™s face went pale as he turned to Henry. โ€œMr. Fischer, why isnโ€™t this working?โ€

Henry sounded annoyed. โ€œI already told youโ€ฆ His brainโ€™s fried. You expect a zombie to act like a normal person?โ€ Alex fell silent, eyes narrowed as he studied Andrew. โ€œYou little bastard. Didnโ€™t think youโ€™d end up like this, huh? Being someoneโ€™s lackey, a walking corpseโ€ฆ It sucks, doesnโ€™t it? Mr. Fischer, this guyโ€™s got smooth skin. Ever thought about selling him off?โ€

Henry replied coldly, โ€œNot interested. I want his fighting skills, not his ass!โ€

Alex was about to mock him some more when the car suddenly braked to a stop.

Henryโ€™s voice turned ice-cold as he barked, โ€œGet out and surround the place! Andrew, break through the front door for me!โ€
