Chapter 1917

Right as the cigarette ash dropped, Zeke tried to spin around and run. However, his movement was stiff and clumsy. It was clear the guy was out of shape and had not worked out in years.

Andrew let out a cold chuckle and flicked a golden needle from his fingers.

Zeke let out a bloodcurdling scream as the needle struck his heel, as if his tendon had been sliced clean through.

He crumpled to the ground, writhing in pain, unable to get back up.

Andrew walked over and stomped his foot onto Zekeโ€™s face. He leaned down with a chilling smile. โ€œBig Z, huh? The great king of Verhampton Valley? Doesnโ€™t seem like youโ€™re much of anything to me.โ€

Zeke roared in humiliation. โ€œGet your damn foot off me, you hear me? Iโ€™m backed by the Driscoll family in Blumedale! You know who they are? Theyโ€™re one of the Three Titans of Gabo Creek. They could crush you without lifting a finger!โ€

A cracking sound echoed.

Andrew pressed down harder, grinding Zekeโ€™s head halfway into the dirt.

โ€œOh, the Driscoll familyโ€™s lapdog, huh? In that case, Iโ€™ll just send you ahead first.โ€

Zekeโ€™s soul practically flew out of his body at Andrewโ€™s words. โ€œNo, waitโ€ฆ Sir! Please! I was wrong. Spare me, I beg you!โ€

He never imagined Andrew would not even blink at the name of the Driscoll family.

Zeke pleaded, โ€œHow about thisโ€ฆ Let me go, and Iโ€™ll give you half of everything I own in Verhampton Valley, including property, cash, women, all of it!โ€

Andrew ignored him completely and looked to Chantelle. โ€œYou called the local law enforcement, right?โ€

Chantelle nodded as she ran over. โ€œTheyโ€™re on the way. Iโ€™ve already alerted them.โ€

Andrew gave a cold snort. โ€œYou little piece of trash. If you hadnโ€™t come looking for trouble, I wouldnโ€™t have even bothered with you. But you chose the road to hell over the gates of heaven. Enjoy the next few decades rotting in prison.โ€

Zekeโ€™s vision blurred, realizing it was all over.

He had ruled Verhampton Valley like a local tyrant, living large for years. He never thought he would get wrecked in a single day by a man like Andrew.

Zeke cried out, โ€œIt was the Driscoll family! Theyโ€™re the ones who ordered me to stop you! Please, sir, donโ€™t let them take me in! Iโ€™ve got enemies in thereโ€ฆ I wonโ€™t survive a day!โ€

He clung to Andrewโ€™s pant leg pathetically, sobbing and pleading. Guys like him had blood on their hands and enemies everywhere. If he landed in prison, he would be torn apart before the week was over.

Andrew raised an eyebrow. โ€œSo it really was the Driscoll family. No wonder they donโ€™t want Hank and Cole to make it back to Blumedale alive.โ€

Chantelleโ€™s voice turned sharp. โ€œIf you have a clean conscience, youโ€™ve got nothing to fear.โ€

She scoffed. โ€œThe Driscoll family brought this on themselves. Governor McCormick will make sure justice is served.โ€

Soon, Verhampton Valleyโ€™s law enforcement arrived and arrested Zeke along with the dozens of gangsters still writhing on the ground.

As for the rest? Andrew could not care less. He let the officers handle them. Once the trucks blocking the road were moved, the group got back on the road.

Inside the car, both Hank and Theo sat silent, their faces dark and spirits crushed. Suddenly, Andrew slapped Hank hard across the face.

Hankโ€™s head snapped up, eyes blazing, but he did not dare say a word.

Andrew smirked. โ€œWhat now? Getting scared already?โ€

Hankโ€™s voice was hoarse as he gritted his teeth. โ€œAndrew, no matter how strong you are, the ones youโ€™ve offended are Special Ops and the Driscoll family. You really think you alone can take down a behemoth like Special Ops?โ€

Andrew sneered. โ€œThen let me tell you something. When your Special Ops Director sees me, he bows his damn head and calls me โ€˜sirโ€™. And in private? He would be at my beck and call.โ€
