Chapter 1917
Right as the cigarette ash dropped, Zeke tried to spin around and run. However, his movement was stiff and clumsy. It was clear the guy was out of shape and had not worked out in years.
Andrew let out a cold chuckle and flicked a golden needle from his fingers.
Zeke let out a bloodcurdling scream as the needle struck his heel, as if his tendon had been sliced clean through.
He crumpled to the ground, writhing in pain, unable to get back up.
Andrew walked over and stomped his foot onto Zekeโs face. He leaned down with a chilling smile. โBig Z, huh? The great king of Verhampton Valley? Doesnโt seem like youโre much of anything to me.โ
Zeke roared in humiliation. โGet your damn foot off me, you hear me? Iโm backed by the Driscoll family in Blumedale! You know who they are? Theyโre one of the Three Titans of Gabo Creek. They could crush you without lifting a finger!โ
A cracking sound echoed.
Andrew pressed down harder, grinding Zekeโs head halfway into the dirt.
โOh, the Driscoll familyโs lapdog, huh? In that case, Iโll just send you ahead first.โ
Zekeโs soul practically flew out of his body at Andrewโs words. โNo, waitโฆ Sir! Please! I was wrong. Spare me, I beg you!โ
He never imagined Andrew would not even blink at the name of the Driscoll family.
Zeke pleaded, โHow about thisโฆ Let me go, and Iโll give you half of everything I own in Verhampton Valley, including property, cash, women, all of it!โ
Andrew ignored him completely and looked to Chantelle. โYou called the local law enforcement, right?โ
Chantelle nodded as she ran over. โTheyโre on the way. Iโve already alerted them.โ
Andrew gave a cold snort. โYou little piece of trash. If you hadnโt come looking for trouble, I wouldnโt have even bothered with you. But you chose the road to hell over the gates of heaven. Enjoy the next few decades rotting in prison.โ
Zekeโs vision blurred, realizing it was all over.
He had ruled Verhampton Valley like a local tyrant, living large for years. He never thought he would get wrecked in a single day by a man like Andrew.
Zeke cried out, โIt was the Driscoll family! Theyโre the ones who ordered me to stop you! Please, sir, donโt let them take me in! Iโve got enemies in thereโฆ I wonโt survive a day!โ
He clung to Andrewโs pant leg pathetically, sobbing and pleading. Guys like him had blood on their hands and enemies everywhere. If he landed in prison, he would be torn apart before the week was over.
Andrew raised an eyebrow. โSo it really was the Driscoll family. No wonder they donโt want Hank and Cole to make it back to Blumedale alive.โ
Chantelleโs voice turned sharp. โIf you have a clean conscience, youโve got nothing to fear.โ
She scoffed. โThe Driscoll family brought this on themselves. Governor McCormick will make sure justice is served.โ
Soon, Verhampton Valleyโs law enforcement arrived and arrested Zeke along with the dozens of gangsters still writhing on the ground.
As for the rest? Andrew could not care less. He let the officers handle them. Once the trucks blocking the road were moved, the group got back on the road.
Inside the car, both Hank and Theo sat silent, their faces dark and spirits crushed. Suddenly, Andrew slapped Hank hard across the face.
Hankโs head snapped up, eyes blazing, but he did not dare say a word.
Andrew smirked. โWhat now? Getting scared already?โ
Hankโs voice was hoarse as he gritted his teeth. โAndrew, no matter how strong you are, the ones youโve offended are Special Ops and the Driscoll family. You really think you alone can take down a behemoth like Special Ops?โ
Andrew sneered. โThen let me tell you something. When your Special Ops Director sees me, he bows his damn head and calls me โsirโ. And in private? He would be at my beck and call.โ
