Chapter 2176
Andrew did not move at all. In his eyes, Freddieโs movements could be described in one word: slow.
Only at the last moment did Andrew finally act. He shifted his body sideways, dodging the kick. Then, he smashed forward like a charging bull.
Freddie shot back like he weighed nothing, crashing hard into a steel equipment case. He hit the ground in a heap, coughing violently, his head spinning as he lay flat on his back.
โMr. Hawkins!โ
A dozen subordinates rushed in anxiously. The leader was a woman with hair pulled back in a high ponytail, her face cold as ice.
She first helped Freddie to his feet, then turned to Andrew and said coldly, โLet me experience Mr. Lloydโs skills firsthand!โ
Andrew looked at her with surprise. โYouโre actually a high-level martial saint, just one step away from reaching martial emperor level! In terms of talent, youโre even more gifted than Joe Driscoll and Eric Humphrey, whom Iโve encountered before. However, fighting me wonโt end well for you.โ
The woman sneered. โWhether it ends well or not, weโll have to fight first to find out!โ
Her entire aura surged as she prepared to attack.
Freddie struggled to his feet and quickly shouted, โAdriana, wait! Donโt be impulsive!โ
Adriana Collins looked displeased but still held back.
Freddie coughed twice and smiled bitterly at Andrew. โMr. Lloyd, you really went all out there. I was just joking around.โ
Andrew sighed, looking exasperated. โMr. Hawkins, you shouldโve said so earlier. If Iโd known you were just a half-baked martial artist, I wouldโve gone easy on you. From the way you carried yourself in the ring before, I thought you were actually strong. Even some of the top martial arts stars couldnโt handle you, but it turns out youโฆ youโre really justโฆโ
Freddieโs face reddened with embarrassment and frustration. He snapped, โDo you even know why those so-called masters lost to me in the first place? My strength doesnโt come from martial artsโฆ It comes from money! Got it?โ
Andrew smirked, suppressing a laugh. โOh, I know. Your money power is in a league of its own. But my money power isnโt exactly weak either. Thatโs why I didnโt bother showing mercy just now.โ
Freddie threw up his hands in frustration. โForget it! Iโm done fighting you. Youโll just piss me off more.โ
He motioned to the woman at his side. โThis is my personal bodyguard, flown in all the way from Southeast Ouisia. Her nameโs Adriana Collins. Sheโs the top fighter of the Whispering Reed Sect in Auqania!โ
Andrew raised an eyebrow, a flicker of intrigue in his eyes. โNice to meet you, Miss Collins.โ
Adriana gave a cold smile. โAndrew, your name has spread far in Auqania. You dared to go head-to-head with the Crimson Flame Cult, and their High Oracle, the Crimson Flame Lord, will never let you go unpunished.โ
Andrew remained relaxed, even playful. โOh, Iโm so scared. But tell me, Ms. Collins, Iโve been meaning to ask you something. In Auqania, are there really only these sects? Youโre from the Whispering Reed Sect, and the ones who came after me before were from the Crimson Flame Cult. Are there more out there?โ
Adriana said coolly, โAuqania is chaotic. Aside from the five great clans, the ten major sects and three warlord factions hold the most power. The Crimson Flame Cult youโve provoked ranks at least in the top three among the ten major sects. So youโre in big trouble!โ
Andrew smiled casually. โNo worries. The thing I fear least is trouble!โ
Adriana snorted coldly and said nothing more.
