Chapter 2317
โGeneral, Ezekielโs already made it to the 60th floor!โ
โGeneral, Ezekiel just hit the 80th floor!โ
โGeneral, Ezekielโs on the 85th floor, and heโs encountered Isabelle Robertson. Theyโve started fighting!โ
Reports kept flooding in, and Lunaโs face had gone deathly pale, tension written all over her features.
โGeneral Turman, Isabelle wonโt be able to hold off Ezekiel for long. We need to get someone over there right now!โ
Philipโs expression darkened as he dialed the phone again. The line rang briefly before the other party hung up without hesitation, not giving him even a shred of respect.
โAndrew, you little bastard. I donโt care when you throw your tantrums normally, but right now, when we actually need you, you better not screw around with me!โ
Cursing under his breath, Philip refused to give up and dialed again. This time, the call connected.
โAre you ever going to stop? Damn it, I already told you Iโm not fighting! Are you deaf or something?โ Andrewโs voice came through the phone, cursing without any pretense of politeness.
Philip, a decorated general, now wore a pleading expression on his face. โAndrew, just wait a second and calm down, okay? Youโve seen the situationโฆ I donโt have anyone else available. If this keeps up, weโre going to let Ezekiel get exactly what he wants.โ
Andrew scoffed coldly. โSo whatโs that got to do with me? The militaryโs crawling with talent. Just pull a few heavy hitters back and youโll take care of him easily enough.โ
Philip quickly interjected, โThe problem is I donโt have anyone on hand right now! Even if I call people back, that takes time. And Ezekielโs already almost at the top of the Martial Tower!โ
Andrew asked, โWhat about Luna? She couldnโt stop Ezekiel either?โ
Philip glanced at his beloved student and shook his head. โShe did injure Ezekiel, but they both held back. Thereโs no point in them going all out against each other. Stop being stubborn with me. Just tell me what itโs going to take for you to help out?โ
Andrew replied coldly, โSorry, Iโm not available.โ
A vein bulged on Philipโs forehead. โAndrew, thatโs enough! Iโm not asking you to help for free, you know. Ezekielโs about to reach the top. For the sake of my friendship with your old man, just fight once. If you do, the military will owe you a big favor!โ
On the other end of the line, Andrewโs voice dripped with mockery. โI knew youโd shamelessly bring up my dad. Fine, Iโll fight once. But remember this: just this once! I cut ties with the military a long time ago. I donโt need any favor youโre talking about. Ezekiel does need to be taken down a peg. Iโll handle that much.โ
Philip finally let out a long sigh of relief.
When the call ended, he turned to Luna with a smile. โItโs settled! Looks like my reputation is safe after all. Turn on the live broadcast, I want to see Waylonโs prized student get his head bashed in.โ
By now, the generalโs grin had twisted into a cold smirk.
However, Luna hesitated. โGeneral Turman, are you really that confident in Andrew? Iโm not questioning the Lloyd familyโs Dragon Prince, but Ezekiel is terrifying. Iโm worried Andrew might fall to the Dragonโs Cyclone too.โ
