Natasha giggled when she saw Andrewโs serious expression. She said, โDarling, donโt get so worked up. Itโs not that we have a problem with your juniorโฆ At his age, itโs really hard to find someone.โ
She suggested, โYou could still approach this differently if you want. What if we just found someone around his age?โ
Andrew shook his head without hesitation. โNo, absolutely not. My women are all breathtaking ladies. All of them are real knockouts. How could I possibly find someone old for him?
โAt the very least, she has to come from a powerful or influential family. Ideally, she should be from one of the elite houses. That way, Amari will have some prestige, and I can rest easy knowing he wonโt be taken advantage of.โ
Aspen chimed in, โWell, with your connections, you could definitely pull that off for him. Sure, even if a woman thought he was too old, she might overlook that because of you. But letโs be realistic, thereโs no chance a young heiress would be interested in him. The only options left are the older onesโฆ Maybe a widow, or someone divorced with kids or grandkids.โ
Natasha nodded in agreement. โExactly, thatโs how it is. In todayโs world, once you hit a certain age, finding a wife becomes really tough. Especially for someone like Amari whoโs already in his 70sโฆโ
Andrew frowned and rubbed his temples. โFine. I guess I was being pretty naive about this whole thing. But thereโs no way Iโm setting him up with a divorcee or a widow with kids, or worse, someone with grandchildren already.
โEven if he were interested, which heโs not, Iโd never approve. Do you know who Amari and I are? With our prestige, if Amari marries someone divorced with kids, or even has grandkidsโฆ How would that look? How would we face the other big names after that?โ
Aspen laughed. โYou know, youโre kind of adorable right now. Here you are, worried sick about this guy whoโs so much older than you, like youโre his father or something.โ
Andrew looked thoughtful and said, โLet me tell you about the person Iโve been considering. Thereโs a woman named Valerie from the Reyes family. Now, she can be a bit much sometimesโฆ You know, arrogant and dismissive. But overall, sheโs got the looks, the charm, and a solid career. You both know Luna Phelans, right? Well, Valerie is considered her equal in terms of status and presence.โ
Aspenโs eyes went wide in shock. โHold onโฆ The Reyes family is one of the five great clans, isnโt it? And if Valerie is on the same level as Luna, sheโs got to be absolutely stunning. Thereโs no way Amari even stands a chance.โ
Natasha shook her head firmly. โNo way, thatโs impossible. We all know Lunaโฆ Sheโs genuinely one of a kind, a true prodigy. Between her looks, her accomplishments, and her position as a general in the military, sheโs someone I honestly look up to as a woman.
โAnd if youโre saying Valerie is Lunaโs equal, then sheโs bound to have suitors lining up for miles. Thereโs just no way you could make that happen for Amari. I donโt see any realistic chance here.โ
Andrew nodded in understanding. โThatโs exactly why Iโm considering her for Amari. Sheโs someone with real standing and prestige. If she werenโt worth pursuing, I wouldnโt even be thinking about her for Amari.
โLook, let me sleep on it for now. Tomorrow, Iโm going to sit down with Amari personally and discuss this whole situation. Then weโll figure out the best way to move forward.โ
