Chapter 251
Leroy rushed to Finley and Michael, desperation etched on his face. The situation was dire; he needed allies immediately. "Mr. Moore," he pleaded earnestly, "with your prestigious background and connections, please help the Stevens family. I'll be your loyal supporter."
He then turned to Michael. "Mr. Rhodes, as one of Jayrodale's elite four, if you help the Stevens family through this crisis, I'll be forever in your debt."
Finley and Michael showed fleeting interest. The Stevens family was an attractive proposition, especially considering Christina. However, both glanced at Harvey, strutting arrogantly on the platform. Witnessing his power display, they demurred.
"Leroy," Finley said, "I don't want to refuse, but I lack a legitimate reason to intervene now. Next time, I promise."
Michael echoed a similar excuse. "I'm touched you considered me, but this is a personal matter between Mr. Weller and your sister. I shouldn't interfere."
Both Finley and Michael proved shrewd. They cloaked their rejections in polite words, effectively shutting Leroy out, wisely choosing not to cross Harvey, who held all the cards.
Sweating profusely, Leroy desperately scanned the crowd for help. His eyes fell on Lauren and Francesca, standing beside Andrew. He scrambled to them, practically begging, "Ladies, please save the Stevens family—save my sister!"
Lauren shook her head. "Your plea is better directed elsewhere—at the person beside us."
Leroy turned to Andrew in surprise. Francesca added flatly, "Andrew may be your sister's only hope. Genuine humility might sway him. But if the Stevens family maintains its arrogance, there's nothing we can do."
Leroy's face contorted; he hesitated. From across the room, Christina called sharply, "Leroy, come back here!"
"Christie," Leroy suggested cautiously, "perhaps we should ask Andrew for help. Harvey has never bested him. If Andrew intervenes, our family might—"
Christina cut him off with an angry shout, "Get back here, now!" Her pride forbade begging her ex before such a crowd.

"Christie, we're out of options," Irene urged desperately. "Ask Andrew! He still loves you. He'll help, I'm sure."
Christina was astonished; even her mother, who always looked down on Andrew, advocated this. She looked at Andrew, complex emotions swirling within.
Andrew glanced at her indifferently. "Ms. Stevens needn't beg me. I'm not worthy of her attention."
"I knew it," Christina said bitterly. "You must hate me and the Stevens family. I don't deserve to ask for your help…"
Before she finished, Andrew strode toward the Weller family's platform. "Harvey," he announced, "didn't you want to settle our score? Here I am—let's see what you've got!"
The crowd erupted in chaos. This was a direct challenge to the Weller family at the peak of their power.
