Chapter 274

Inside the SUV, Dylan drove Andrew toward West End.

"Dylan, this isn't the way to South City, is it?" Andrew asked, raising an eyebrow.

Dylan explained with a wry smile, "Mr. Lloyd, we're heading to West End. Tonight is a crucial three-way meeting between South City, Northern District's Atlas, and West End's Natasha Vostokoff, the last major underground power in Jayrodale."

"I wouldn't have asked for your company if it weren't important," he added.

Andrew analyzed, "So the conflict between South City and Northern District has reached a critical point. West End's neutrality has ended, necessitating these negotiations?"

"Precisely, Mr. Lloyd," Dylan said admiringly. "Last time, you helped us defeat Griffin, giving South City a chance to counterattack. Now, neither Northern District nor South City can gain the upper hand. Madam Vostokoff's involvement worries me; I need your help again."

"Having chosen to help South City, I won't stand idly by while Atlas destroys it," Andrew nodded.

He didn't mention Marvin's intention to bring South City under their control. Andrew was satisfied with Dylan as an ally. Uniting Jayrodale's underground forces would leave Marvin controlling legitimate businesses while Dylan managed the underground, making Andrew the ultimate authority in Jayrodale, above and below ground.

Andrew had little personal interest in power or status; his lineage transcended such concerns. His abilities in medicine, combat, and other fields allowed him to excel effortlessly. However, no longer alone, cultivating promising talent made sense.

As the convoy entered West End territory, Andrew casually asked, "How does Madam Vostokoff compare to Atlas and your organization in terms of power?"

Dylan explained, "Madam Vostokoff, the Black Widow, is the most inconspicuous of Jayrodale's four underground leaders. Don't underestimate her ruthlessness. Tony, Atlas, and I have all tried to take West End's territory—without success."

"The Black Widow?" Andrew asked, surprised.

Dylan chuckled bitterly. "Yes, a fitting name—she's literally a widow. But don't underestimate her, Mr. Lloyd. She's as skilled a fighter as I am, and commands a loyal group of elite fighters. Her men's loyalty is unwavering."

"Interesting," Andrew commented with a smile.

"Mr. Lloyd, are you thinking of conquering her?" Dylan asked excitedly. "She may not be young, but she's still stunning. Older women know how to treat a man right, if you know what I mean."

"With that kind of wit, maybe you should quit the underground and become a comedian," Andrew replied dryly. "I'm sure Marvin could arrange something tomorrow."
