Chapter 311
Andrew chuckled. "Mr. Giordano, you truly exude an air of authority. Your composure and dominance are impressive."
Atlas scowled impatiently. "Cut the flattery, kid. Just say it."
"I know Natasha and Dylan practically follow your lead now. When it comes to scheming, you're the mastermind," Atlas continued.
Andrew waved his hands dismissively. "Oh, you're thinking too highly of me." He lowered his voice. "I noticed something interesting in Mr. Moore and Ms. Fuller's glasses back in the West End Manor lounge. It's a rare substance called cantharides. Rumor has it, once ingested, the only way to counteract its effects is through... intense physical activity."
Atlas cut him off. "Enough! Shut your damn mouth!"
The barely suppressed fury and humiliation flared. He glared at Finley, his gaze sharp. "You fucking bastard, tell me the truthโdid you really drug them? How low can you go? Are you even human?"
Finley stammered, pale-faced. "M-Mr. Giordano, I swear I wasn't thinking clearly. It was a moment of weaknessโit won't happen again!"
Atlas slapped Finley without mercy. He roared, "Next time? You think there'll be a next time? You've tarnished my reputationโeverything I've worked for! You're a fucking disgrace, a worthless piece of shit!"
The enraged crime lord unleashed a torrent of curses. The fury in his voice shocked his men.
One pleaded, "Mr. Giordano, please! You don't have to resort to violence!" Another warned, "Sir, think carefully! You'll sever ties with Mr. Moore completely!"
But Atlas, consumed by rage, ignored them. His outburst surprised everyone, even Andrew. Finley's cheek swelled red from the slap. Clutching his face, he shouted, "How dare you hit me, Atlas!"
Finley's eyes burned with rage. He snarled, "Do you even know who I am?! I don't care if you're the boss of the Northern District. My granduncle leads the Hidden Dragons!"
Panic spread among Atlas's crew. They felt Atlas had gone too far, believing Andrew had provoked him.
Atlas ignored Finley's threats. His voice turned ice-cold. "From now on, we're done. If you want to run to the Hidden Dragons, go ahead. I've got nothing to hide."
He turned and left with his men. Finley called after him, "Atlas, without me, your Northern District is doomed!"
