Rodney declared, “If my side loses, you’ll get their sixty million, handed over without question. But if you lose, I want nothing except…”

At this point, Rodney stopped abruptly, his eyes gleaming as he licked his lips in an incredibly vulgar manner. His martial arts students behind him joined in with sleazy snickers.

Lauren felt goosebumps. She asked with disgust, “What do you want?”

Rodney smiled. “Don’t worry, my request isn’t outrageous. I just want your stockings, Lauren. Specifically, the ones you’re wearing right now—while they’re still warm!” He burst into laughter.

Lauren’s face paled, clearly suppressing rage and humiliation. She controlled her emotions well, however, and turned to Jerry.

“Don’t worry, Miss. I can defeat these petty thugs with one hand tied behind my back,” Jerry said coldly.

Lauren turned to Andrew, blushing slightly. “Dr. Lloyd, my stockings are only for you. So you better make sure we don’t lose.”

Andrew replied, “Don’t worry. We won’t lose while I’m here. Though you should keep your stockings on—I don’t share his peculiar tastes.”

Lauren huffed and insisted, “No, if you win, they’re yours!”

Andrew sighed inwardly, wondering if she was trying to force a deal.

Jerry let out a contemptuous laugh. “Kid, you better stand back when the fighting starts. We won’t lose with you here? I don’t know how you have the guts to say that.”

Andrew glanced at him. “I meant what I said, and let me warn you, Jerry—don’t let your guard down!”

Jerry chuckled dismissively. “Who do you think you are to warn me? I was dominating the Jayrodale martial arts scene while you were still crawling.”

“I’ve said my piece. Take it or leave it,” Andrew replied calmly.

Jerry sneered. “I know what you’re up to—you’re showing off in front of Ms. Rhodes, trying to make a name for yourself. Unfortunately, your cheap tricks only make people despise you more.”

“Jerry, you’re going too far,” Lauren said seriously. “Dr. Lloyd’s martial arts skills are not to be underestimated.”

Jerry stood with his hands behind his back. “Even if they’re not bad, they’re still far beneath my notice. Don’t worry, Miss. It’s time to put Magblade Martial Academy in its place. With Atlas dead, there’s hardly anyone left in Jayrodale’s martial arts circle I need to be wary of.”

Lauren remained silent, having always trusted Jerry’s abilities. She wasn't the only one in the Rhodes family who believed in him—even Tiana knew how formidable he was. Dealing with Rodney and the other Madblade Martial Academy experts should be no problem for Jerry, especially since the headmaster wouldn't interfere.

“Ollie, you’re up first. Remember, show no mercy. I want to slap Rodney’s face and send a message to his father. I may have lost to him years ago, but now he’s aged, and I’m in my prime. If we fought again, he wouldn’t stand a chance!”
