Chapter 51
Andrew calmly produced the remaining Divine Elixir, and Gerald’s breathing quickened with excitement. He fought the urge to snatch the bottle, exclaiming, “Oh my, there’s at least 250ml left! This would fetch nearly a million dollars on the market. You’re quite generous!”
“Uncle Gerald, is this cheap wine really that amazing?” Leroy asked skeptically.
Gerald glared at him. “Foolish boy, don’t speak about things you don’t understand! The Divine Elixir is made from hundreds of rare medicinal herbs, fermented for seven days and nights in a private distillery. That’s just the beginning. It then ages in a cellar for at least thirty years before it can be opened. This bottle appears to be eighty years old; calling it liquid gold is an understatement!”
Douglas laughed heartily. “I knew Andy wouldn’t bring me anything but the best!” The Stevens family members stared greedily at Andrew’s wine.
“What an incredible wine—I must try it!”
“Pour me a glass too!”
“Stop fighting! There should be enough for everyone!”
Gerald glanced dismissively at Harvey’s bottles. “Nothing reveals quality like comparison. These mainstream brands are exactly what Leroy called them—‘garbage,’ compared to the Divine Elixir.”
Harvey’s face darkened; he clenched his fists under the table. Being outdone by Andrew, a man he considered a nobody, was infuriating.
“Andrew, if this wine was so valuable, why didn’t you mention it earlier?” Christina asked, her beautiful eyes fixed on him.
Andrew replied calmly, “I did, but none of you listened.”
Irene, unable to bear Andrew’s attention, muttered, “Big deal, it’s just wine.” Then, she glanced at Harvey. “Harvey, darling, didn’t you bring that special gift? Show everyone!”
“Harvey, you brought Grandpa another gift?” Christina asked in surprise.
Harvey modestly revealed an elegant box containing a marble-sized pill. “It’s nothing much—just a medicinal pill from Mistveil Peak that should benefit Mr. Stevens Senior’s health.”
Chapter 52 The entire Stevens family buzzed with amazement, looking at Harvey with newfound admiration.
“I heard medicinal pills from Mistveil Peak are exclusively for government officials and elite families in Chetvine! Most people couldn’t get one even with money!”
“Only the Grandmaster can make these pills, and they’re said to have miraculous healing powers!”
“Even in Jayrodale, only the legendary Dr. Cedric Aicker got one after begging for three days straight. Your connections must be incredible, Mr. Weller!”
Irene beamed with pride. “Only our Harvey could obtain such a treasure. Compared to this, that Divine Elixir is absolutely garbage!”
