Chapter 634

Stephen puffed on his cigar slowly, then scoffed, โ€œKid, you hear that? The two ladies donโ€™t even care about your life anymore. Now, if you come over here, kneel, and clean my shoes until they shine, and then pay Kenneth half a million in medical fees, I might let you live.โ€

Andrew, with Marcus at his side, walked into Stephenโ€™s office slowly, not rushing. He glanced around and casually sat on the left side of the couch.

โ€œMr. Brunner, thatโ€™s a bit much,โ€ he said coolly. โ€œI hit him because he deserved it. Besides, he started it, and I only defended myself. Also, Mr. Brunner, you insulted people from Rhodes Corporationโ€™s Pharmaceutical Division. I came here to ask for an apology. Is that really too much to ask?โ€

Stephen froze for a second as if he could not believe his ears. Then he sneered, โ€œWhat? You came here to ask me for an apology? Are you serious? You want to ask me for an apology?โ€

Then, Stephen burst out laughing, like he had just heard the funniest joke in the world.

Kenneth wiped blood from his face, grinning maliciously. โ€œMr. Brunner, I told you this punk was out of his mind. Now itโ€™s clear, itโ€™s not just arroganceโ€”heโ€™s actually insane. He dares to say such things in front of someone like you! Heโ€™s just asking for death, plain and simple!โ€

Aspen looked on with disdain and sneered, โ€œAndrew, you talk all big on other peopleโ€™s turf, but youโ€™re way out of your league here.โ€

Christina scoffed, โ€œAspen, donโ€™t bother. In the end, the trouble heโ€™s caused will come back to him a hundred times over.โ€

Aspen raised an eyebrow, turning to Christina. โ€œChristie, you were his ex, arenโ€™t you worried? What if Mr. Brunner punishes him so badly that he comes crawling to you for help?โ€

Christinaโ€™s face remained emotionless. โ€œIโ€™ve long since moved on from him. He never listens, and now heโ€™s sunk so low, mixing with the worst of the worst. Whether he lives or dies is none of my concern.โ€

Andrewโ€™s voice remained calm. โ€œSeems like the Stevens family is really sick. One by one, getting dumber. Aspen, havenโ€™t you learned your lesson yet?"

โ€œAnd you, Christina, you know the state of Stevens Corporation, but now youโ€™re meddling in the pharmaceutical business? You must be in a hurry to finish off Stevens Corporationโ€™s foundation.โ€

Aspenโ€™s anger flared. โ€œAndrew, weโ€™ll settle the score for what happened before, donโ€™t worry. But first, you need to figure out how to get past Mr. Brunner.โ€

Christinaโ€™s expression turned sour. Andrewโ€™s scolding tone made it feel as if she had done something wrong, and it made her uncomfortable.

โ€œAndrew, Stevens Corporation is the Stevens familyโ€™s business, not yours,โ€ she said sharply. โ€œSo whatever industry I choose to enter, or whatever I want to do, is my decision, not yours.โ€

Andrew nodded indifferently. โ€œOf course, youโ€™re a great visionary. You built Stevens Corporation into a billion-dollar empire, after all. So what you do is far beyond someone like me to understand. But I just want to remind you that the Stevens family has already lost a lot."

He added, โ€œBeing around someone like Aspen, with her shady ways, will only drag you down. Itโ€™s only a matter of time before she takes you down with her.โ€

Christinaโ€™s eyebrows shot up in anger. โ€œAndrew, thatโ€™s enough! What I do and who I associate with is none of your business.โ€

She honestly couldnโ€™t understand how Andrew thought he had the right to talk to her this way.

Even though Andrew had already achieved quite a bit, Christina still felt like he was far behind her, still struggling in the lower ranks.
