Chapter 66

“Harvey, don’t you dare bully Dr. Lloyd! If he gets hurt, you’ll answer to me!” Lauren rushed over, worried Andrew might be at a disadvantage.

Harvey smirked, seizing the opportunity to retreat gracefully. “Alright, I’ll let him off this time, for your sake,” he said with a forced grin. “But don’t expect such luck next time! I’m not one to go easy on anyone.”

With a cold snort, Harvey left. Christina and Francesca believed Harvey had shown Andrew mercy, unaware his arm, hidden beneath his jacket, was swollen and trembling uncontrollably.

“If Lauren hadn’t arrived, you wouldn’t have gotten off so easily,” Francesca sneered.

Andrew replied calmly, “Tell him that. If I’m not mistaken, he’s probably rushing to the clinic now.”

Francesca doubted him, believing Andrew was bluffing. After all, defeating an eighth-degree black belt like Harvey seemed impossible.

Lauren giggled. “Alright, you two. Stop arguing. Let’s head to the racetrack—it’s lively today with several of Jayrodale’s top figures there!”

Francesca, always eager for excitement, perked up at the mention of Jayrodale’s elite. However, she paused and turned to Andrew with a frown.

She warned, “Andrew, Harvey and Dexter may come from prominent families, but the people you’re about to meet are Jayrodale’s true power players. Watch your words. Don’t get us into trouble. No one could save you then.”

Meanwhile, in the club’s clinic, Dexter lay on the bed, his head heavily bandaged, groaning in pain.

Harvey was shocked. “Dexter, are your injuries really that severe?”

Dexter’s eyes blazed with rage. He snarled, “If I don’t get back at that loser, I might as well be dead!”

Harvey’s expression darkened as he carefully removed his jacket to treat his arm. It was fractured, a sliver away from shattering completely.

Dexter’s eyes widened in shock from beneath his bandages. He gasped, “No way! Y-y-you’re even worse off than me?”

Harvey’s face grew grimmer. “I underestimated him. That bastard hits harder than I expected.”

“With an injury this serious, you should go to the hospital, Mr. Weller,” Dexter suggested nervously.

Harvey snapped, “Are you an idiot? If I go to the hospital, everyone will know I was taken down in one hit. And if Christina finds out, I’ll be a total joke!”

Half an hour later, Harvey and the bandaged Dexter emerged from the clinic.

“Are you both alright?” Christina asked with concern.

Harvey chuckled, maintaining a casual air. “Of course. You should be more worried about Andrew. I’ve had over ten years of taekwondo training, and he probably couldn’t handle my punch.”

Christina’s expression turned cold. “He has Ms. Rhodes now—it’s none of my business. Besides, he deserved a lesson.”

“Let’s stop talking about that loser,” Dexter’s date chimed in. “We should head to the racetrack. It’s quite the scene today. Not only are Jayrodale’s crime lords there, but even the mayor showed up!”

Harvey laughed. “Perfect! Christie, let’s go. I’ll introduce you to the mayor. Since you’ll soon be part of the Weller family, it’s time you met some of Jayrodale’s top figures!”
