Chapter 89

“All you do is study medicine; you’re completely out of touch with everything else,” Francesca explained. “We’re simply not compatible.”

Cedric finally spoke. “Simon, I agree you and Fran aren’t a good match. However, as my senior apprentice, you’ll inherit my medical legacy, and then you can have any woman you desire.”

Simon’s face flushed crimson as he pointed at Cedric and Francesca. He stammered, “B-but… y-you…” He tried to speak, but the words failed him. Overwhelmed by emotion, he fainted.

Cedric immediately ordered his staff to carry Simon to a guest room. Then, he turned to Andrew and sneered, “Well, now you’ve seen us make fools of ourselves. It’s time to prove yourself by treating Fran. Fail, and you won’t leave here in one piece.”

Andrew chuckled, earning a glare from Francesca. “What’s so funny?”

“I’m laughing at how Simon was completely oblivious to your feelings, and now his love has turned to heartbreak,” Andrew replied with a smile.

Francesca’s cheeks flushed. “There’s nothing funny about it. I never had those feelings for Simon. Let’s begin the treatment.”

In Francesca’s room, Andrew prepared for the procedure while Cedric stood guard outside. His voice was icy as he muttered, “Let’s see what you’re capable of. This condition stumped even me. You’re either very skilled or very foolish.”

Andrew ignored the old man’s grumbling and instructed Francesca to undress. After some hesitation, she complied and lay on the bed. He then blindfolded himself and calmly stated, “I need you to spread your legs for the procedure.”

Francesca’s face turned bright red. “Andrew, you promise you won’t look? If you do…” Her voice trailed off.

Andrew interrupted, “Don’t worry. I have no interest in looking.”

Francesca ground her teeth. What kind of man wouldn't want to look at her? She knew she possessed an attractive figure.

Andrew’s thorough preparation meant the procedure was uncomplicated. Even blindfolded, his skill allowed him to work with precision and confidence.

Outside, Cedric paced anxiously, his face etched with worry. Francesca was his only granddaughter, and her condition had been beyond even his expertise. He couldn't comprehend this young doctor from Jayrodale General Hospital’s confidence, but if Andrew failed or took advantage of the situation, he would face Cedric’s wrath.

Two hours later, the door opened. Andrew removed his blindfold and called out, “You can come in now, Mr. Aicker.”

Cedric rushed in. “Fran, how are you feeling?”

Francesca, fully dressed but still blushing, whispered, “I’m fine now, Grandpa.”

“What do you mean by ‘fine’?”

“It means… I’m finally normal, like any other woman!”

Cedric’s jaw dropped.
