Chapter 507 Ironic
What Felix said sounded ironic. He let go of Merylโs chin, turned around, picked up a white handkerchief, and threw it at her.
โWipe your tears. It upsets me to see a woman crying.โ
She was speechless.
She didnโt cry at all, but when she got excited, her eyes would turn red and wet, making her look like she was crying.
But she didnโt dare refuse the handkerchief that Felix gave her.
There was a faint woody scent on the white handkerchief, very similar to the smell of Felix.
After realizing that this might be something Felix carried with him, Meryl wiped her eyes twice and prepared to return it to him.
Unexpectedly, Felixโs face turned cold.
โIf you donโt want it, just throw it away. I wonโt recycle garbage.โ
He was so moody.
The handkerchief was made of Tencel and was very valuable, costing thousands of dollars each.
Meryl curled her fingers. The handkerchief felt like a hot potato.
She didnโt know whether she should keep it.
But she couldnโt throw it away in front of Felix, or he might make things difficult for her.
Meryl put the handkerchief into her backpack.
As soon as she zipped up her backpack, Felix withdrew his gaze.
He smiled slightly and looked evil for an instant, and then he suddenly approached her.
โSo, why are you collecting my personal belongings?โ
Meryl was speechless.
She couldnโt just say that she was afraid that if she threw it away, he would get angry.
Meryl pursed her lips and said, โIโm going to take it home, wash it, and let it serve its due purpose.โ
Hearing this, Felix sneered and said, โWhat purpose can a handkerchief have?โ
Meryl disagreed, โEvery object has its purpose, just like you. You kept saying that life was meaningless, but you are still alive today, arenโt you?โ
Felixโs smile froze.
โSo do you mean I should have died a long time ago?โ
As he spoke, Felix raised the fruit knife in his hand and pointed the cold blade at Merylโs belly.
โI heard thereโs a child in here?โ
โIt would be a bit lonely for me to die alone, why not let him accompany me?โ
Merylโs back was soaked with cold sweat in an instant.
She wondered how he could change so quickly.
She felt as if, in the next second, he would drag her and the baby in her belly to die with him.
Meryl was scared, and her voice trembled, โFelix, donโt be impulsive.โ
Felix suddenly laughed softly and said, โIf I follow your words, I will be at a loss.โ
As he spoke, he stroked Merylโs cheek with one hand and said in a gentle voice, โWhy donโt you give up Chandler and be with me?โ
Felixโs words shocked Meryl.
She even thought there was something wrong with her ears.
But his serious look didnโt seem like he was joking.
โYou want me to divorce Chandler?โ
โCanโt you?โ
Meryl bit her lip and said, โOf course not.โ
โReason.โ
โChandler treated me very well and gave me a place to stay when I needed it most. Why should I divorce him?โ
โHe left you for another woman. Isnโt that enough reason to let you divorce him?โ
โPerhaps he has his reasons.โ
Meryl felt that there was no need to tell an outsider like Felix about her and Chandlerโs relationship problems.
After all, as Chandlerโs wife, she had to maintain his dignity.
Hearing Merylโs words, Felix chuckled.
โYes, he had his reasons. He had abandoned his pregnant wife and been with another woman. He danced with her arm in arm in public. Meryl, can you tell whether he loves you or that woman named Rachel?โ
