Chapter 568 Die Sooner

โ€œNo way. Was this arranged by Felix? Why would he do this?โ€

Rachel couldnโ€™t accept it. But when she thought about it, she felt that everything did happen too coincidentally.

She stamped her feet in anger. โ€œI said Felix is a devil. I canโ€™t marry him! Chandler, you must help me break up the engagement with him!โ€

Chandler looked at Yinsonโ€™s face. โ€œAre you Felixโ€™s man?โ€

Yinson flatly denied it. โ€œFelix? I donโ€™t even know him!โ€

Chandler didnโ€™t want to talk nonsense with him. Just at this moment, a group of policemen filed in.

โ€œYou can tell the police about these excuses. This bar is suspected of illegal operation and needs to be closed down!โ€

Yinson was stunned. He hadnโ€™t expected that Chandler would call the police on the way there.

The bar was the result of half his lifeโ€™s work. Seeing the police, Yinson became timid.

โ€œMr. Aniston, please spare me. You can lock me up, but donโ€™t let anyone close down my bar!โ€

Yinson did not cause any substantial harm to Rachel, so even if he were locked up, he would be released in a few days at most.

But it was different with the bar. Once it was closed, it was tough to reopen it.

Chandler didnโ€™t even look at him and walked out with Rachel.

As the two left the bar, Chandler lit a cigarette and said, โ€œIโ€™ll give you Walterโ€™s phone number.โ€

Rachel was stunned. โ€œChandler, are you really going to leave me alone?โ€

It was an emergency, and Chandler happened to be nearby. It only took him ten minutes to get to the bar, so he arrived before the police.

Because he was in a hurry, Chandler hadnโ€™t even had time to tell Meryl about this. He already felt guilty.

Chandler exhaled a puff of smoke. โ€œI donโ€™t want Meryl to misunderstand, and I donโ€™t want to leave her alone.โ€

Rachel cried, saying, โ€œWhat about my engagement with Felix? You promised to help me cancel it!โ€

Chandler said, โ€œI will help you solve the problems that Walter canโ€™t. I will talk to the Powell family about the engagement in the next two days. Letโ€™s go. Iโ€™ll take you back first.โ€

Rachel bit her lip and said, โ€œBut Iโ€™m scared. I donโ€™t want to go back to the theater. That disgusting man touched me. Iโ€™m dirty all over now. If they see me, they will talk about me behind my back. I want to find a place to wash myself now.โ€

Meryl saw Chandler bringing Rachel into the hotel.

The two got the room card at the front desk. Rachel looked up at Chandler pitifully.

โ€œChandler, can you take me upstairs?โ€

Rachel still had Chandlerโ€™s suit jacket draped over her shoulders. Her eyes were as red as a rabbitโ€™s, and she looked sad.

Meryl was stunned, as if her feet were filled with lead. She stared at the scene through the glass door, unable to move.

It felt like someone was grabbing her heart tightly, and it was so uncomfortable that she could hardly breathe.

Felix sat in a wheelchair, smiling frivolously. โ€œAre you surprised? Chandler betrayed you.โ€

Meryl subconsciously clenched her palms. Facing Felixโ€™s ridicule, she turned and looked at him calmly.

โ€œRachel is your fiancรฉe. You seem quite happy to see this.โ€

Felix said, โ€œI have a good mentality.โ€

Merylโ€™s eyes turned cold. โ€œDo you have a good mentality, or was all this planned by you? Felix, you are so despicable.โ€

It was such a coincidence. Meryl had just separated from Chandler and met Felix when she came out of the restaurant.

It was normal to meet once a day, but meeting several times a day was obviously premeditated.

After putting the matter together, Meryl knew that Felix must have caused Chandlerโ€™s sudden departure.

Meryl looked at Felixโ€™s eyes and said, โ€œItโ€™s obvious that you used some tricks. Do you think I would be deceived by you?โ€

Felix narrowed his eyes, not showing any anger even though he was exposed.

He grabbed Merylโ€™s wrist and pulled her to his side, his eyes seeming to see deep into hers.

โ€œI am such a despicable person, and my methods are not clean. Didnโ€™t you know it a long time ago?

โ€œWhat? Are you regretting treating my legs now?

โ€œBack in prison, you told me to live a good life. What about now? Do you hope that a scourge like me will die sooner?โ€
